Love the Wine Shoppe! Katie has been helpful in tracking down specialty wines I needed for Christmas. Her knowledge of wine is comprehensive and she shares any info you might need to know! They do carry the types of wine you buy at Kroger, but will often encourage me to try something besides the LaMarca prosecco I drink so faithfully. I don't get offended because you never know...I might find something I like better! My husband also joined their new wine club and picked up his first bottle recently. They select a bottle from a different country each month.

When a bottle is priced $41.99 on the shelf and rings up $46.99, it's one thing. But when a customer brings the price tag up to show the salesperson and his reply is, "The price must have gone up. It's still gonna be $46," the only possible conclusion is that the store doesn't care about doing right by the customer. You'll find better prices on the same stock elsewhere with staff who at least act like they know how to be helpful.

Good place to get the big bottles of booze on a budget. There's a few other decent places nearby so I don't know if I'd go super out on my way. But I usually find what I want here

Came in and was immediately greeted by the cutest dogs! The owner was extremely helpful with finding something new when we couldn’t find our initial spirit. As well as the cashier being very friendly.

Always a very nice spot for spirits that are hard to find, especially if you're looking for a specific flavor of something etc.

The couple that runs this place have always been so kind and helpful. But today I had a special encounter with them, I locked my keys in my car (in the middle of a thunderstorm no less) and these kind souls didn't hesitate to help immediately. The lady came out with a bamboo stick with a hook on the end like it wasn't her first rodeo, and stood out in the rain with me to make sure I got it unlocked safely. (I DID! 😁) These two are the genuine "give you the shirt off their back" kind of people that make me proud to live in Tennessee. I will never shop at another liquor store again. Thank you guys.

Did some Christmas shopping. Found everything we needed. Had several associates ask if we needed help. Great experience!

Best place downtown to have a drink and mingle with friends. This place is low key and everyone is always so friendly when we come here. Definitely one of my favorite places in Wilmington. They have a great outside area where you can sit and chat. The restrooms are clean with plenty of products! Would highly recommend Cape Fear Wine & Beer if you are in the Wilmington area!!!
