Martial Arts

We love this place because the owners/teachers are loving, thoughtful & care about the children and what they teach them. Incredible!

The BEST martial arts school! For three years Master Saenz has instructed our kids and we couldn’t be happier. They learn to be brave, safe, strong, and respectful. Master Saenz has an incredible level of patience; he is firm, but also caring and fun. This school also has such a caring environment. Other parents here will learn your kids’ names and they cheer for and encourage your kids right along with their own kids. I LOVE this place! Come check out a class; you won’t regret it.

My daughter has gained confidence and strength in an amazing family atmosphere.

I started practicing Tang Soo Do while working in Washington DC. When I moved back to Houston, the Karate Masters family welcomed me into their studio with open arms. Not only was I able to continue my training from where I left off, but truly take it to the next level. They have a flexible class schedule, so I’m always able to make classes despite work/travel. They also have a rotating staff of highly trained instructors, so every class is different and I’m always learning something new. The beginners, intermediates, and advanced students have separate AND combined classes for those inclined either way. They offer a wide variety of class types, with seasonal offerings, events (including tournaments), and more. As a working adult who wants to learn the art of self-defense, I can’t praise this place enough. Tang Soo!

It's an amazing school

My son has been attending this school since it opened last summer. If you ask him, he says he's learned/gained "responsibility, confidence, and leadership." I would have to agree with him! In addition, Master Kim and Ms. Jessica genuinely love the kids and want them to be/feel successful. Master Kim is firm, but loving. The students learn how important respect is not only in class, but in life. That is such a needed skill in our youth today! There is a sense of family at Master H Kim's Tae Kwon Do School that I haven't felt elsewhere. Your children will love it here, and you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend Master H Kim's Tae Kwon Do!

As someone with a black belt in Taekwondo and a purple belt in Karate, I can honestly say that this is the worst martial arts studio that I have ever attended. The students were being taught incorrect form and most of the class was spent just standing around.

I signed a six month contract in July of 2014. The classes were not at all what I expected. The coaches seemed like they would rather be anywhere else in the world than teaching techniques. Then after my contract was up I wanted to discontinue my month by month membership to take my training elsewhere but when I tried to contact James he was nowhere to be found. He answered my phone call once and said he was going to pull up my info in the computer system and call me back. I called and text him daily and I could not get a call back. I finally showed up at the school and of course he was not there but I was given a 1-800 number to call and cancel my membership.

So glad I finally made it to the School and after a month of trial signed my kids long term. They are happier, getting stronger and learning lifetime techniques. Thank you to all the instructors who make it fun and engaging.

This Dojo is authentic. I lived in Japan and studied a different martial art years ago. My first trial practice at THIS dojo brought me back to those memories and it felt natural and right. No hype here. Good people humbly practicing the art as it should be. I will continue here.

My son Joshua is a student at Master Hongs class and its been amazing so far. Not only is he learning Taekwondo, its the discipline/respect that Master Hong teaches the kids which is so wonderful to see. The studio is run very professorially and I highly recommend this to all families . You will not be sorry to try this class. Edward Buonanno

Master William Howard, VII Dan, head instructor, is not only very respected by his students but also by practicing TaeKwon-Do (TKD) students worldwide due to his immense technical and practical knowledge and superior teaching methods. I have been a student of his for over 10 years and have seen nothing but consistent respect, professionalism, and kindness to his students. This do-jang (school) produces numerous U.S. National TKD champions and World TKD Champions. Global TKD is certified by the International TaeKwon-Do Federation (ITF) and is a member of The Phoenix Group; founded by the late Grand Master John Tompkins. If you are looking for: an excellent self-defense program, a fun dynamic fitness/exercise program, or even dream of representing the United States as a member of "Team USA" ITF TaeKwon-Do, then this is where you belong.
