Tl;dr: traditional, intense, honest I've been a student here for over a year. I respect the instructor, Mr Mase, incredibly. I knew from the name that this is a school with integrity. It's not perfect, but you will get out more than you invest. I recommend both Tang Soo Do and Krav Maga Pros: -highly traditional Korean-American martial arts -dedicated instructor -great new facility -two excellent martial arts Cons: -limited times (T-Th+Sat) -mixed age and rank groups Overall, I'd rate this school very high, and I'm proud to be a member here.

I'm one of Mr.Galindo's Students,he's probably one of the best instructors any can meet,he teaches his students the way it's supposed to be tough,unlike other places,but anyways I highly recommend him for the best learning experience about he art.

Great place to learn traditional karate. Fantastic instructor for children and adults.

Master Carvin is great with children as well as being a very talented instructor! His easy-going style belies the masterful skill with which each class is taught. My children love going to the classes and have learned so much!

Don't know what the complaints r about. Both of my boys go to this school ages five and two and have learned way more than any gay karate class would teach. Odoms is great with my kids and made them have more confidence than ever. It's a fighting class not a daycare and teachers kids not to give up.

This class was taught by the UPD-campus police. Building was a little hard to find. They need signs on the building. Training was on second floor. Gym was nice, not what I expected. Class was 4 hours and we kept busy learning self defense training. Nothing too hard I felt good about what I learned and will come back for more. They do this all for no charge which is crazy. Instructors were very good, Mr. Rod was very nice and knowledgeable. I can't believe the big instructor can do the splits! Will definitly take Krav Maga again.

Seriously cannot say enough about this place! They've got a great variety of free weights and machines, the gym is clean and well kept, and the staff is so nice and super helpful. I started with the Learning to Lift Like a Lady class which really helped make everything less intimidating and familiarized me with form, and it's made me so much more confident going in on my own and doing a self-led workout. Also, not only is their membership rate is one of the best in town, but it also includes childcare and doesn't have the sketchy contracts some of the other gyms require. I love this place :D

While I do not take lessons at TNT, over the past 3 years I have worked closely with one of the instructors at TNT Guro Abel Martinez. Guro Martinez and I helped form a Filipino Martial Arts cross training group called MAPA in the DFW area and guro Abel has over the past 2 1/2 years been one of the featured instructors at several of the events. In addition to those events guro Abel and I have added once a month cross training events for our students in the Modern Arnis program. I teach Modern Arnis in the DFW area and I had looked for a like minded instructor who was both skilled in the martial arts and who taught well for my students and I to cross train with. Guro Abel is a multi skilled instructor in Modern Arnis, Chinese Kung Fu, and Jujitsu. Along with guro Abel we work with two other students/instructors from TNT who are also multi skilled martial artists; Karen Clark (Modern Arnis and Jujitsu), and Seven Swinney (Modern Arnis and Okinawan Karate). My students really enjoy cross training with and learning from these individuals. With over 35 years in the martial arts, I am glad to be working with these instructors and I'm privileged to have my students get to work with them. Mark Lynn Hidden Sword Martial Arts

Shou shu kung fu is an art discipline that requires perseverance, dedication to detail, practice and a quest for obtaining perfection in maximizing efficiency and power. Shun Shifu Vines along with support of Da Shifu Clark (grandmaster) and other shun shifus goal is to teach the discipline in a way to preserving Shou Shu kung fu. The difference in Shou Shu and other martial arts is learning the physics and use of chi that other disciplines have lost. You will learn how to be the ultimate martial artist.

Good athletic club for martial arts.

My boys love going to Fort Ben Taekwondo and are always excited to go to their classes. It has a family atmosphere and Ms. Carol the owner/head instructor knows all the students individually. My older son wanted me to quote him saying "Taekwondo is a sport, happiness is a feeling but they merge together perfectly." Both tell me that it's not just about the physical exercise, they also love that they feel they can protect themselves and that the tenets help them in all areas of life. They tell me they feel stronger physically but also mentally. My older son even told me about a story where a younger boy was really annoying him and he told him "it's self control that's stopping me from punching you." I've noticed my younger son being a lot more responsible showing more self control as well. It really makes me happy to see that my boys get the same moral code outside of the home to reinforce what we are trying to instill in our boys. Even schools don't seem to do this anymore. We are honestly very happy we found Fort Bend Taekwondo. My boys clearly love it and as parents we are thrilled with a place that feels very personal and cozy to us as a family while still showing extreme professionalism and giving our children a great education both in taekwondo as a sport and in the character development that goes with it. Would blindly and very highly recommend it!
