Martial Arts

I found Austin Aikikai to be the perfect place to learn and train Aikido for me. The dojo is impecable, everyone is friendly and inviting, you can feel in the everyday practice the high quality of technique, wisdom and love for Aikido in Damir Jamsek Sensei's approach to teaching.

So Agent Cho called out this address during an episode of the Mentalist. It was supposed to be a restaurant.

Capoeira at its best! Classes with Mestrando Vagner are always a great workout and also a comfortable environment with positive energy. I joined the group a little over a year ago, nervous about joining without knowing much about capoeira beforehand. Mestrando Vagner is an excellent teacher and the students are welcoming and helpful as well. The benefits I have experienced through capoeira are numerous. Meeting people with different backgrounds, learning more about the culture (Portuguese songs, use of different instruments), strength and balance, etc. I always encourage others just to try it! From beginners to advanced, kids to adults.

This is a fantastic traditional martial arts school. My whole family trains here, and we get so much more than good karate lessons. The discipline my kids get in an atmosphere of mutual respect benefits them in all areas of their lives. It is so important for them to have extracurricular activities where development of character is emphasized, besides just church on Sunday. The teachers here, Master Griffin and Sarah Geenberg both possess a rare combination of the kind patience and firmness that students need.

Great martial arts school with a fantastic teacher and facilities, lots of space for more involved exercises. The school is relatively new so the class size is small but that also means more focused attention on your development. I was really impressed when I got to sit in on a class and participate in the lesson, the teacher is very professional and courteous.

I have been a part of Choi's Tae Kwon Do Academy since childhood, and enrolling me is one of the best things my parents ever did for me. The physical and mental strength and discipline I learned in Tae Kwon Do shaped my future and helped me succeed in many different aspects of my life.

This is the place to be! The owners and instructors Monica and Brian are high level. They have done an amazing job with my nephew logan and have instilled self confidence and discipline while learning this amazing craft of Tae Kwon Do all while having fun. Logan always talks about his board breaking abilities. Go check them out, you will not be disappointed!
