I have had the honor to be taught by Master Yu. His unique teaching style and character has made him an ideal teacher for me. I feel it a true martial arts experience to be in his presence.

Great coaching and a great place to train with a relaxed atmosphere; came here for two weeks visiting home and no contracts was a great plus for me. Will be back when I'm visiting.

I've been training with magrinho for 11 years, and the technique he shares to both kids and adults is unbelievable!! He is such an amazing person and instructor, you need to come by and check it out for yourself!! OSS

Outstanding School. Teachers are very attentive and take care of each student. Lessons and classes are taught nearly every day of the week with occasional beach classes. I recommend this school for anyone that wants a school that is serious about learning or practicing Tae Kwon Do. My only regret is not staying longer on the Island to continue to attend the classes.

Chinese Lion Dance Association is located at 3012 Waialae Ave in lower Kaimuki between City Mill and the two storage companies. They teach traditional Kung Fu, Wushu, Taichi, Lion Dance, and Dragon Dance. It is a non profit group that is open to all who wish to learn self defense, physical conditioning and Chinese culture.

I was vacationing in Hawaii and wanted to train while I was there. The aikidoka at this dojo are incredibly welcoming and friendly. They made me feel right at home! The practice was just the right balance of challenging and exciting, and I definitely recommend this school to anyone visiting or living in Honolulu.

I started taking women's self defense classes here about a year and a half ago, it was something I had been wanting to do for some time, and I am so happy that i did. The classes are awesome and the instructors do a great job of communicating with the students. I've also really appreciated them helping me to figure out the best way to do things for my body, rather than just being cookie cutter with everything. Class is an open dialogue, so that everyone can leave feeling a little safer. Eventually I started taking the combatives classes, more standard Jiu jitsu classes, and that has been a great experience. It built on the things I learned in self defense and expanded upon what I learned a great deal. The teachers are patient, helpful and always available to answer questions. I was very nervous to make the transition, but thankfully everyone is very warm and inviting, and I'm glad that I started taking more classes.
