Martial Arts

Prior to meeting Sifu Magwood about 10 years ago I had studied Tae Kwon Do with various teachers. Through that time, although I developed some technical proficiencies, there was always something missing, some elements that inhibited me - Much of that is attributed to me, but as the saying goes "when the student is ready the teacher will appear" I first started training with Sifu Greg Magwood 10 years ago - I knew I had found a teacher like no other. He has a unique combination of fun and gravitas; egoless ability to see through to the student, and the thing they need to hear at that time. After a few years break, and few kids later, our entire family looks forward to Wednesdays, when we get to elevate our game, learn something new. My wife takes private weapon's and Tai Chi lessons, our kids study Jiu Jitsu, and I get to mix it up with my Kung Fu brothers & sisters. The last thing I can say is that you can learn a lot about a club from it's members. Greg attracts people without axes to grind, ego's to be polished, those that see they are in the dojo to learn and to teach, that we have an obligation to each other. Sifu Magwood has create a valuable home for his students and we're proud to be part of his family.

Was new to town! Decided to try out some mauy Thai places!! And one place really stood out!! And that was Kawartha combat!! At 1st I was worried going in not knowing anyone. But team mates became friends in no time!! Great crew!! Feels like a family! The classes are amazing!!! Great for the beginner to intanse hard core.. The ppl are amazing!! If your looking for a place to train cheek out Kevin at KC!!! Proud to be part of the team now!!!

Great school. Highly respected for all the right reasons. I remember training in the basement of a video store when they first opened about 20 years ago. Best Martial Art's school in Peterborough. Traditional Hapkido at it's best.

The instructors are amazing and caring, you can tell that the are passionate about what they do! Great place for working out, even if you don't want to learn martial arts formally.
