Martial Arts

More a club than a school. Lacks professionalism. Instructor Gomez will wander away during class to gaze at cellphone. Classes are cancelled frequently. (Recently a class cancelled due to a police incident which happened ten hours before and several blocks away from "school".) Instructor will use special occasions, such as his birthday or promotion test day, to cadge a meal paid for by students. Not expected behavior from a supposed martial artist.

Seng's Martial Arts is an excellent choice for martial arts. My son has been going here for almost a year specifically to improve his gross motor skills. Sensei Chad works very well with children as do all the instructors. I've used many of his warm up drills and stretches with my students in Gym class. My son really enjoys karate and his physical fitness has drastically improved. I really value the teachings on self control and self discipline. Having an OPP officer also come in to teach sometimes with an emphasis on anti bullying is excellent. Finally, I wanted to thank the instructors for modifying their instruction while providing motivation for my son as they guide him in improving his gross motor skills. I highly recommend this place.

I stopped in on a class and not only the teachers there were friendly and kind but they clearly explained that this isn't a tournament based martial art. This is those that want to learn martial arts. I mean I'm getting the first month FREE. In these economic times I can't believe there's something this good is available in Essex County.

Schoon Sensei offers the real thing. Anshinkan Dojo is the standard other places need to rise up to compare. If you are in the area, it is a must visit. The Students and Staff are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. Don't take it from me. Go there and find out for yourself!!

I really appreciate and take hold of the knowledge I've gained physically and spiritually while attending the Michigan Shaolin Wu gong Temple. The skills, techniques and wisdom taught here can be used and applied in everyday situations for a life time. The Michigan Shaolin Wu gong Temple is located in a well kept facility and have very reasonable prices and scheduled class times. My time spent here have been filled with a lot of fun, laughter, good memories, great spirits and deep philosophy. I Recommend this school to anyone who want to enrich their lives.

If you have young children and are thinking about enrolling them at Troy Martial Arts I Highly recommend it. The Journell's are extremely patient and very knowledgeable. I enrolled my 10 year old son and he absolutely loves it.
