I lost a nose pad to my glasses while on vacation and they fixed them for free. The receptionist and the eye doctor were both very nice people. If I lived in this area, George Optical would definitely be my eye doctor.

VUE Cubed Vision Therapy

I continue to learn so much from the process of vision therapy. Like any activity involving exercise, diligence and practise, the pay offs of vision therapy far exceed any set of simple results. The positive effects to my health outweigh the cost significantly. Highly recommended. Period.
Eye Doctor Optometrist - Dr Thadshika Parthipan - Guelph
235 Starwood Dr #6, Guelph, Ontario, N1E 7M5, Canada
I went in today for a routine eye exam today. I did not have any problems with Dr. Parthipan, who was nice, although I was a very easy case. However, I gave my insurance to the receptionist fifteen minutes before the appointment, and asked her to verify that it was covered by them. I was only told afterwards that my insurance did not cover the appointment and she just nonchalantly handed me the bill. I came early expressly for that reason and was clear about it as well. I did not appreciate being forced to pay when I could have gone somewhere else or made adjustments to my insurance plan if needed. When I expressed this concern with the receptionist, she just ignored my comments and asked if my payment would be by visa.
If you want to build a customer base, I highly suggest you iron out wrinkles like this in your operations. People don't hand you insurance cards when they are prepared out of pocket, and you have a duty to do due diligence, instead of being primarily concerned with billing.

I don't know about the Doctors but the staff is pretty bad. First the said they would call me back to arrange an appointment for a retina problem. They never did. When I called them to see what had happened they claim that they couldn't help me and sent me to a Doctor over an hour away. I found one right here in Niagara. But, I still made an appointment for a routine exam. They called today canceling the appointment on my voice mail claiming I didn't have the right insurance. The truth is, I did, they were looking at how my insurance would change at the 1st of the month. Total incompetents ... Don't waste your time..
Fichte Endl & Elmer Eyecare
6500 Porter Rd #2020, Niagara Falls, New York, 14304, United States
My whole family has been visiting their offices, the old one and the new one since 2009. Dr. Endl has performed 2 surgeries for my mother, the rest of us come in for annual exams and glasses. When the post-op patients are in the office, the wait time can be somewhat prolonged, but considering that one can get several tests done in one visit, without multiple appointments and then see their doctor to discuss all those test at once, I can live with that. Dr. Glose has been seeing my older son and me and we love her to death. Dr. Schenkle has seen my parents and will be seeing my younger son (his doctor is no longer with the office and she was fantastic as well). No words to describe Dr. Endl's expertise, compassion and patience in explaining everything. The opticians are very helpful and patient as well. I love seeing Judy, she always makes my day. I'd give these people a hundred stars if I could. Thank you all for keeping our eyes healthy!
Walmart Vision Centre
7481 Oakwood Dr, Niagara Falls, Ontario, L2E 6S5, Canada
I purchased eye glasses twice at Walmart, to save money. Two years apart. Both times glasses were correcting my vision ok, but my eyes got tired after 30 min of reading. I have now twice expensive glasses from a normal optometrist and no problem. The same story with sunglasses from Walmart, plus frames sliding down my nose and colours distorted to the red of spectrum. I did not complain, no desire to talk to them.

My girlfriend has been going here since she was a kid. They just happen to take her insurance and her parents didn't realize how bad this place is. Here is a short list of unprofessional conduct:
1. No normal eye exam. He doesn't do a regular eye exam. He just uses the machine and calls it good. My girlfriend's Rx supposedly didn't change for years on end. (This is completely false) He never does any fine tuning on the RX, just writes it and then writes you off until the next time your insurance will pay.
2. They super pushy when it comes to sales. My girlfriend is incredibly frugal. She came out of this place with frames that weren't completely covered by her insurance because they mixed in a bunch of pay frames when she asked to be shown only the ones covered in full. They surprised her at the register and said they thought she meant any glasses that her insurance would cover, even partially. What an obvious lie.
3. The guy won't shut up about his money. This is especially unprofessional when you consider that he take Medicaid, aka insurance for the poor. He is literally bragging about his money to people who don't have enough to afford healthcare. What an ass.
So, only come here if you feel like listening to some rich guy talking about his money while he gives you a poor Rx and sells you glasses that aren't covered by your insurance.
