Plumbing

Our ancient water heater sprung a leak and we called Thos. R. Birnie & Sons to ask about purchase and installation of a new one. To be honest, they were my second call. Home Depot said it would be 4 days to get a new water heater installed and they could not tell me what it would cost. I called Birnie because of their reputation and fun logo! The receptionist (whose name I forget...sorry!) was cheery and helpful. She explained the process to me and arranged to have a technician come out the next morning. Jeff called about 45 minutes before his scheduled arrival time to confirm the appointment and to say he would arrive in about 40 minutes. It was exactly 40 minutes when he was at our door! He examined the tank and confirmed it should be replaced. He then left, returned with the new heater and installed it all in the same morning. He took the time to explain what he was doing each step of the way and clearly knew his stuff. My laundry room was cleaner when he left than when he arrived! I would not hesitate to call them again. Thanks, Jeff and Thos. R. Birnie & Sons.

BAD REVIEW!******* I had a bad experience with them regarding a dispute over a bill. I live in a condo and I felt that I had an unclear interaction with them during a corporation inspection and I incurred a rather large bill compared to what I expected.

Fast, courteous and friendly service. I would call them for any plumbing or heating issues.

Greta fast family business!!

Absolute installed a new water service in our house. They were very professional and fair. The work was well done. We are very satisfied and would hire Absolute again.

There were no balancing dampers installed in the duct system.... Anywhere. There should be 30+ included the 3 in the actual duct work. System cannot be air balanced as per the duct design. I would not pass this installation.

Fast 4hr service, thank you all.

The best guy around for any of your plumbing needs. Straght up tells you what you need and why, then gets the job done. Definitely recommend!

I thought I needed a new tap and came into the store last week expecting to spend well over $200. Roy showed me a $9 accessory that solved the problem. After two decades of going to the store, I am constantly amazed at how the brothers and the staff solve one problem after another.

Had excellent service from Andrew of the St. Catharines Roto Rooter. He was courteous, professional and informative and got the job done quickly and efficiently ! I highly recommend Roto Rooter, we call them for all of our plumbing needs !

Very friendly and great service

I do not recommend their service solely based on their prices. A quote of $110/hour was given for 2 workers. Only 4 hours of work was needed however I was charged for 6 hours due to TRAVEL TIME, within the same city. I complained that this was never mentioned when a price was negotiated. The owner didn't seem to care and indicated that it was common. A charge of $220.00 for a maximum of an hour of driving, if that. I am completely disappointed with the owner of this company.
