Private Schools

This school is the best ever ever

This was a great start for my daughter (because she started behind) and now she is in the 4th grade and reads at the level of her 6th grade cousin. I used what MerryWood taught my daughter in Pre_K with my son and now my son is advanced for his age. I wasn't permitted to enroll my son in kindergarten because of his age, although he reads at a 1st grade level. That is why I had to deduct a star.

Another money scam, tell you one thing before enrollment once the first fee is paid other fees are added to suck money. Trash! DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING UNLESS U HAVE ALL FEES IN WRITING. MADE ME PAY FOR CREDITS ALREADY ON MY TRANSCRIPT THAT I PREVIOUSLY PASSED.

I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere first, because it seems like all Mr. John Wilhite is worried about is getting your money. I paid the DEPOSIT (not tuition fees) on 06/05 a Tues evening around 5pm. I called back the morning of either Friday (8th) or Monday (11th). Let's do the math not even a full 4 business days later to talk to Mr. Wilhite about getting our DEPOSIT back and convinetly he was on vacation with NO WAY of being reached via the receptionist. So today being the 13th of July and I just recieved a callback but from the receptionist not Mr. Wilhite (who was in the office when the receptionist called). So after listening to the message about not being able to get a refund I call Mr. Wilhite back and we have a 20 minute long conversation where my business sense is questioned. That caught me off guard, because I've done all the things I could to resolve this issue. We have a freind that referred us to the school who is very particular where she sends her kids to school and she was verbally told that she would be able to get her deposit back if she decided to take her kids elsewhere. Non the less after that 20 minute call we are still waiting to see the result to see if we need to go to small claims court. Because nowhere in the paperwork I have does it say that the deposit in non-refundable, plus Mr. Wilhite admitted that fact to me over the phone. He said it's on the paperwork you get once you start paying the SCHOOL TUITION, which we had not started paying yet. Hopefully this will all be resolved but I would procedd cautiously if I were you.

My Piano Recitals are here.

I am the grandfather of a student at Waxahachie High School. She had gotten to school early, to prepare for a test. She was in a great upbeat mood and ready for the day. Once inside she was turned away by a "hall monitor" because there was a small hole beneath one knee of her jeans. Suddenly this hole became more important than any schoolwork. I understand that there can be extremes in dress - but ONE HOLE?? This event totally blindsided my grandaughter! She was there to learn and achieve - not to be in a fashion show! I am embarrassed for the school for allowing this to happen. My own (3) children graduated from Waxahachie High School and I have always had the highest regard for the school and staff. Fashion Police? This raises many new questions. What if a hall monitor simply does not like a fellow student and uses their power indiscriminately? Who is monitoring the hall monitors? That is the question. At this date (January 12, 2009) the criteria at WHS is out of whack!

Love them..

might be my future school next year:}}}}}}

I am a teacher who has taught in DeSoto ISD for 12 years. I am proud of the high standard and integrity of those in administration and throughout the faculty and staff. Some of my very best friends work with me in this school district. The district is not perfect in every single category, and that is ok. There is a plan, a clear mission, a goal and the trend arrows are moving in the appropriate direction. This district certainly shines bright.
