St. Joseph Catholic School
2901 E Rancier Ave, Killeen, Texas, 76543, United States
Ideally, preschool enrollment should help children prepare for kindergarten, or so I thought. Unfortunately, my experience with this school was a nightmare. It felt as though I had given birth to a little monster. Every day, the teacher complained about my son's behavior, saying he was running around, not sharing, jumping, and more. One day, we were asked to pick him up early, which was extremely stressful. We later met with his teacher and the principal to discuss a plan of action. Right away, I sensed an unsettling vibe from the kindergarten teacher. She claimed she was trying her best to help our son adjust, but stated that other kids also needed her attention. She also suggested we seek help from our physician regarding his behavior. Keep in mind that my son had attended daycare without any behavioral issues. My husband made an appointment with the doctor, who assured him that our son was perfectly fine and simply acting his age. While I was searching for a new school, we found

Primrose School of Hickory Creek
1011 Ronald Reagan Ave, Hickory Creek, Texas, 75065, United States
My children love going to school at primrose. We have 3 children who all attend the hickory creek campus and they love their teachers and never want to go home when I pick them up. The teachers are professional and there is very little turn over at this campus. The curriculum is full of fun learning, teaching everything from signing, Spanish, Math, Science, and Reading. I'm impressed at how much my children have absorbed over the years and it's amazing when they come home and teach me something new! I will be sad when my children have to move on to an elementary school, because my kids feel like this is their second home. I would definitely recommend this school over any other daycare centers!

Liberty Christian School

In his first year, our son is really enjoying Liberty Christian. The academics are challenging (but fair) and the athletics are engaging and fair. The teachers show a sincere interest in the development of students within a faith-based learning environment. We are pleased with our sons progress to date as he is growing spiritually, academically and thriving socially at LCS.

Lewisville Christian School
102 N Garden Ridge Blvd, Lewisville, Texas, 75067, United States
I searched far and wide for a preschool when we moved down here from Chicago. Over and over, LCS was recommended by a number of people. When we visited, I could see why it's so highly recommended. It is such a loving school that is warm and inviting for the kids. I was amazed at how much my 3 year old had learned during the course of the year.
Their prices are very reasonable! They offer a Mother's Day Out program, preschool (2, 3, or 5 days), Pre-K, and Kindergarten. The hours are 9-1 (they eat lunch there), and they also offer Play and Stay from 1-2 if you are interested.
The biggest perk is that they have a drop off and pick up car line. I just pull up, they help the kiddos out of the car, and then when the day is done, I just pull up and my daughter is escorted to my car. I have 2 younger children in addition to the preschooler and this is a huge blessing!
My daughter loves LCS. It's so conveniently located in Lewisville-- and right down the street from Flower Mound that it is an answered prayer for me and my children!
The Goddard School

Our Daughter shares with us daily, her exciting and fun filled activities at school. She has been able to count to 10 in Spanish since 3 years old, enough said. 5 stars
Immaculate Conception School
2301 N Bonnie Brae St, Denton, Texas, 76207, United States
Recently I had the opportunity to do some substitute teaching for the ICCS and I found the school community to be the warm, loving and overall an excellent educational environment. The teachers are full of passion, professionalism, affection, and have a nurturing spirit towards their students and colleagues. The commitment, hard work of the Faculty and Staff and the proactive leadership and dedication of the principal, Mrs. Elaine Schad, is what makes the Our Lady's school into a successful Community of Faith and Education. I was once a member of Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) Accreditation Visiting Team and I wouldn't have hesitated to rate the ICCS Excellent. It is a great school to be at and completely worth the investment for a child's education. I would highly recommend parents consider this school if they want to provide their children with a holistic excellent private school education along with the freedom to pray and learn substantial solid Christian values.

Castle Mound Montessori
3200 Peters Colony Rd, Flower Mound, Texas, 75022, United States
Great teachers, great director but they are powerless; the owner charges for everything! Art projects you will pay 20$ for that month, every quarter another supply fee 150$. You pay for food every month on top of tuition, no credit card machines so bring check or cash... NOTE TO OWNER there are plenty of great schools in Flower Mound and Highland Village that are affordable don't charge for ever meal and or every painting my child brings home! Also for a grand a month the gym is lacking of any toys, A ball and 3 plastic rings..Really? Play grounds are old and small, just saw Wonderland Montessori what an amazing water park, Goddard school, amazing play ground...
Primrose School of Frisco West
333 W Lebanon, Frisco, Texas, 75034, United States
The management at this school does not listen to and address parents concerns. The Area Director has to be brought in. The classrooms are often dirty and they are over crowded. This school is focused on the bottom line and not the children. Decisions are made about moving kids to different classrooms without discussing it with parents FIRST. The teachers are not properly trained. The teacher turnover below the lead teacher is very high and most if not all lead teachers leave by 2:30/3:00. Research them on the childcare incident website and you will see incidents of kids being left outside and being dropped. There is favoritism amongst the kids and staff by management and teachers. If a teacher doesn't want to deal with a child they will try to move that child to a different room. There are some great teachers there but the Education Director is not adequately equipping them with what they need to be successful in the classroom. Finally, the kids do not get enough food. This is a true and honest post not one driven by favoritism or a contest.
