This is a great school with high standards.

If I could rate this DISTRICT a negative rating i would!!!! Sports are a JOKE... my middle schooler got bullied IN the locker room and physically assaulted and they did NOTHING!!! And forget it if you aren't tall or fast or anything like that because both middle and high schools will NOT PLAY YOUR KID!!!! let's not go into the elementary schools (bowie)... kid has a issue.. your called every minute... GISD is all a joke...if you have a choice to go to a different school..... GO!

Great school environment and atmosphere! Teachers are knowledgeable, well experienced and nurturing. GCS has given my child a life changing experience in learning study skills, leadership, and above all learning God's love.

I have been going to the school for 2 years, whenever I first came here I was supposed to be a sophomore, but I didn't have any highschool credits. This school has helped me get caught up on all my school work and get to where I needed to be. I would definitely recommend this school. All of the teachers are really nice and very helpful. Mrs.Debra shows love and compassion to all of her students and gives them the confidence and hope to push forward and to give all that they have in everything that they do. She believes in us all that we can do or be anything that we want to be. With all of the help from the staff at Open Doors and Mrs.Debra I was able to get everything done that I needed to be done. I will be going to the Air Force and I wouldn't have been able to do it without all of their help. They've helped me grow to be a better student and all around a great person.

This IS NOT New Beginnings Christian Academy you are speaking of. You are talking about New Beginnings Christian Daycare which is now Kids Kingdom. This is what happens when people try out professions and are not equiped to operate effectively. New Beginnings Christian Academy is a very good school. Matter of fact it is GREAT!! Staff has been there for years. I love how well my child has advanced in his reading and math skills. The teachers work hard to make sure the students are learning and my son is 2 to 3 grade levels ahead of his friends who attend public school.
