My 3 daughters have been attending here for the last 4 almost 4 years I wouldn't take them anywhere else. When your child begs to go to daycare you know its a good place

Hands-down, Alexander-Smith Academy is the best school I have ever intended. As a Katrina victim I have been through the mill, including 8 different high-schools, and I must say no school has ever made me feel more secure about my future. Every teacher has something to offer students and each is willing to do what it takes to help their students succeed. This school really is the place to be! I count myself lucky to have graduated from such an amazing place!

My little girl loves going to this school! Teachers and the staff are friendly and always smiling. This school is like a hidden gem. Even though My daughter is shy, she got adjusted to her class very quickly.

My family and I fell in love with Riverbend Montessori from the moment we walked in. My daughter is 3 and had been in daycare for a few months before we switched to Riverbend. She really struggled to adjust to the daycare and I struggled at drop off everyday. Since we switched to Riverbend, my daughter has not once cried. She leaves without saying bye to me because she is so excited to go to school. She asks to go on the weekends as well. She loves her teacher and so do I. There is so much kindness and patience toward the students, I've never felt that at different learning centers. The teachers and staff at Riverbend genuinely care for their students. My daughter has become so social and friendly, I am so happy with how she is developing. I wish we had placed her earlier. The activities done in the classroom are so practical yet fun. It doesn't feel like a school, yet the children are developing so well. It has such a family feel to it and I am always so impressed by the facility and staff. They recently had an Indo-Pak festival where the classes performed dances and were dressed in traditional garments. What a fun way to learn about other cultures and traditions. I had so much fun attending the festival. I love it there and so does my daughter. If you are looking for a place for your child, please visit Riverbend and take a tour. This was a good school to me I was there I would I was in pre-K3 I am now currently in fifth grade. 😀 Great school

I had looked into Excelsior back when it first started, deciding against it, only because there were only two students and one teacher. My son needed a little more socialization, as we had home-schooled throughout most of his school years, as he was very non-compliant in public school. We went to another school for a couple of years, then looked back at Excelsior, who had grown to around 10 students and 2 teachers. I moved him there. Since moving him, my son has really "taken off" in his education. He works on IXL at his own pace, and also at home, and he does classwork at school. His handwriting has greatly improved in the past year. He actually wants to go to school now, and in the 7th grade, was testing into the 9th grade. His teachers are very attentive to his special needs and know how to handle him. The school has gone through several teachers since we have been here, but I see that as the director has very high expectations of his staff, and promptly removes them if they do not work out. He has very high aspirations for this school, and is well on his way to making Excelsior a fun place of children's education. He tries various ideas to motivate the children, and that's not easy. Each child has a different "high value treat" for which he/she will work very hard to obtain. Each child is placed into his/her own grade, but works at his own pace, and is also challenged by his teachers to come up to their grade level and beyond. Right now, they have several rooms rented at the Fame Well Montessori School, and space rented at a Montessori School in Katy, if needed, but as the school grows, I see them expanding into their own building, which would be great for the image of the school. Make no mistake about the image of the school, though. This school has been the best thing that has happened to my son since pre-school, and I highly recommend any person who is sick of the boxed treatment of their child in public school to give Excelsior a try.

A great educational jewel tucked away in our area. If my Gbaby is feeling a little resistant her teacher & helper will allow her to sit & snuggle next to them for minute as they acclimate her into class. The entire school & admin team take the extra efforts to make sure you feel comfortable leaving your child in their hands. They care about the students and have high ratings with testings with the grade school students. Personally, I love it. Rena

This school is amazing and the teachers there too

My wife was hired to work there but she quit 3 days in because the school was so mismanaged, that it was impossible to teach the children. My wife has twenty five years experience and is certified in EC thru 4 and Sped. The director put twenty six children in her class ranging from ages 3 to 6. My wife was injured twice that day. Once head butted on her eye then punched in the stomach by a different kid. This all started when the 6 year old attack a 3 year old and she intervened. She found out that she was not the first to quit as she was the fourth teacher in that classroom for this year.
