***Terrible, Terrible Service. Work With Another Company.*** Our agent took us to one house only. She arrived late (also late to the inspection) and, upon entering the house, answered her phone and said: 'Look upstairs while I take this call'. She never came upstairs, spent about 15 minutes looking at the rest of the house with us, then told us we should jump on this opportunity. She never pointed out the horrible, shoddy workmanship throughout the house. When she did offer information about possible improvements (put a window here, move the kitchen there), there was no mention of how many tens of thousands of dollars those renovations would cost. My husband and I take full responsibility for the final decision of buying this house. There was no gun to my head. But, because I placed my trust in the agent, assumed she had our best interests in mind and would educate us (that's part of her pitch), I am currently living in, compared to my previous residence, a dump. I'm not one to complain, but feel it is important to share our terrible treatment by Ocean Pacific Realty to help others have a more positive house buying experience. Don't risk it. Work with someone else. UPDATE: Ocean Pacific Realty commented on my review, suggesting I contact them. In response to an email I sent them prior to posting my review, I got a different response. The Managing Broker of the company told me that since "...these are very serious allegations, we have advised our insurance provider and been instructed to limit our communication with you..." and he would "...strongly recommend [I] obtain legal advice as soon as possible...". It was more than an year long journey with Mark to find a place that would suit our criteria. Mason Walker is professional and easy going. We had tried other realtors before finding him and we were very happy with his service! As first time home buyers I like that Mason was not shy about pointing out the flaws in a home to bring our heads out of the clouds and back down to reality. He was more interested in getting us a great match than just selling us a home. I would highly recommend Mason to anyone looking to buy/sell a house.
