We have rented cottages with CLRM since 2012 and have had a good experience. Unfortunately, this year, they let us down. We rented the cottage “Manitou” on Sturgeon Lake for June 23 to 30th. The owners were very helpful in answering our questions in preparation. Unfortunately, there are several very large rocks right near the dock that prevented us from docking our ski boat. There was $1,200 damage done to the boat and the prop. We received a note from the owner the day before we left saying “Just trim up the engine when approaching the dock or lift as there are a few rocks 12-18 in below the water”. I was not on email that day and missed his warning. In addition, our prop is in the middle of the boat and cannot be “trimmed”. If CRLM and the owner had been honest with us, we would NOT have rented this cottage. When we called CRLM to ask what they would do to help, the answer was NOTHING and to call our insurance company. We ended up leaving the cottage after 4 nights. It was extremely frustrating staying there without access to the boat.

Rented a boat here to go fishing two weekends ago and had an incredible experience; the owner was very professional and helpful, and I'm already planning my return trip!

Sat in the 2 person seats. 4 hour ride to the Agawa canyon. Train Leaves at 8am sharp! Don't be late or you will not get on. They have breakfast and lunch served in the dining car. There is a boxed lunch you can buy for the hike as well for $15. (Ham/cheese sandwich on a bun, bottle of water, brownie and celery and cart sticks with dip. You can also buy alcohol and snacks as well. There is a bathroom on the train so don't worry about going before you go. Beautiful fall colours right now. I did the hike to see all three waterfalls and had just enough time to run up to the lookout. We had 10 minutes to spare until we had to get back on the train.
