I remember when this land was owned by the Carpenter Family who donate the property for a park. Farther down the beach the land was purchased from the Walter's family farm which is now used as a trailer camping site.
At one time when I was just a boy we would wander the property and visit the two log cabins that once was the Carpenter's first homes. I have nothing but fond memories living on Winston Rd. Beautiful place to visit.
