Wow! Love, love, love the work that Cheryl did for our wedding! Neither my husband nor I thought we were particularly photogenic, and originally had a different photographer lined up, but decided after realizing we were pretty disappointed in the engagement photos to find a new one. Absolutely cannot say enough about Cheryl’s professionalism, and she really worked with us on the wedding day to make sure we were getting the shots we wanted. She was pretty direct regarding how we should stand for the best angle (which we really needed!) and I am going to look back at my beautiful wedding photos for years to come and remember all the wonderful details of the day, and not nitpick about how ‘weird’ I was looking in a particular photo - because all of them are good!

We had dinner at the restaurant Smith there. We were presented with a bit of a problem initially but the manager was well spoken and resolved the issue. Service was very nice. Food was delicious. It is pricier than many other restaurants in Winnipeg that had equally good food. However if you are looking for great service, ambiance, food and don't mind a higher price tag, this is a good pick.

We opted for the day-of coordination and I don’t even want to think about what our wedding day would have been like without Amanda! Definitely our best spent splurge for the wedding. What’s the point of even having a wedding if you and your closest friends/family can’t enjoy themselves? Amanda took care of EVERY detail and more, is so easy to work with, and has so many amazing tips and tricks that were lifesavers for us. Rehearsal was easy, wedding was easy, to this day people still tell us it was the best executed wedding they have ever attended. If you can find the extra money in your budget to hire Amanda you will not regret it!!

The location is very beautiful and well maintained. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Would go to more events here.

kinda depressing thinking about how much harder it was to survive back then. OMG I have a cold will I survive? what cousin Jacob was eaten by pack of wolves on the way to Christmas Eve Mass how sad. Aunt Nelly died during what was supposed to be the birth of her first child now Olivia is an orphan???? Her dad froze to death 3 months before she was born. Think about it.

The best vendor we dealt with throughout the whole process of planning a wedding. Delicious food, fair prices, and an unmatched professionalism. I didn’t once worry about them and they added no stress to my plate. Guests enjoyed the food and they were accommodating to those with specific food needs.

The Squash Club is the best club in town, i have been a member for 18 years and i have been coming to the club every morning. it is my second home.

beautiful venue great service hospitality & staff

5 star Hotel for 3 star prices. Honestly, you can get a room here for ~$110 USD a night and that is pretty amazing considering the beds are luxurious and the bathrooms are beautiful. I especially love the artisan soap they have in the shower/bathroom. The lobby and building is also extremely beautiful.

Great social gathering spot

Like every Fairmont, this one is no exception when it comes to great rooms and great service. The hotel lounge serves a great selection of cocktails. Starbucks conveniently located in the basement is a big plus. Centrally located downtown. Will definitely be back!

Don't miss a chance to try their food. Everything on my plate was delicious and the prices were very affordable considering what I was getting. Staff are very friendly and go the extra mile. I took my friend for lunch there during one of their buffet events and we mentioned in passing that it was her birthday and the staff arranged a dessert for her with sparklers. Very sweet gesture. Will definitely go back.

Thomas photographed our wedding and we were so happy with the results . He was wonderful to work with, fun, charming and professional. He spent time to get to know us before the wedding even though we lived in another province. He made everyone feel relaxed and was a lot of fun, everyone at the wedding enjoyed his company. We highly recommend him!

Nice historical, well maintained building. Attended a lunchtime violin concert and the acoustics were heavenly!! Free Summer series of concerts featuring WSO artists occurs lunchtime on Tuesdays at noon.

Event for 150 a Flop. Attended an event at the WAG Wednesday evening and it was poor at best. First off, logistics: They put the bar in the smallest corner making it congested. Added to that, they put a stir fry table next to it to add to its congestion. Appetizers were few and and infrequent as staff did not circulate throughout the patrons. Antipasto display was sufficient for 10 people and no where near enough for 150. They did have two large bowls of olives though. Roast beef sliders??? Well, the buns were very good and the roast beef was nicely done. Desserts were nice looking, however lacking in flavour. Plenty of crust for the pies and for the cheese cakes, but the remainder was bland. I was hard pressed to give it one star. I would expect more from The Storm.
