Quick and efficient. Really loving the hair!

I have been a regular at Abstract since 2013 when I first moved to the area. As a local student, I have found Abstract to be very convenient with reasonable prices (there’s even a student discount). I have always felt very welcome, well taken care of (the coffee and snacks are great!) and have loved the environment and staff. As for a specific stylist, Nichole has been cutting, dying, and styling my hair since my first appointment in 2013. I change my hair often and she has continuously impressed me with her ability to cut all styles — from long, to medium, and now to a pixie! I’ve had her do an ombré on my brunette hair when it was long that turned out awesome. She recently took my hair to a platinum blonde (with a light lavender shampoo wash) and I’ve received SO many compliments! I can bring her in a picture of what I’m looking for and she can turn it into reality. She has also given me several excellent manicures. Nichole (and the other staff) make great conversation, are friendly and helpful, and have excellent opinions. I will be sad to be leaving Cleveland this summer, but when I visit, I’ll be sure to schedule my appointment with her! (:

I ordered hair December 2017, I received a great discount and did not have a problem getting my order on time. The problem that I did have was with the lack of communication from whomever answers or responds to customer emails. I was missing a bundle of hair with my order and also had a question about ordering the 18 inch curly hair which was only measuring at 12 inches. The rep responded back and only addressed my concern about the length of the hair to which she stated "it measures 18 inches when it is straightened" I just feel like if I wanted 18 inches of straight hair I would of ordered it straight. So that was a negative, and then she never addressed the fact that I paid for 2 bundles and only received one, I waited 2 weeks and then had to escalate through PayPal, in which they still never received a response, so I just ended up getting a refund. Iv had the silk closure and the bundle I did receive in since December 26 2017. The closure sheds a lot, and some areas are balding which is another negative, but I do like the hair quality, its very easy to manage, does not tangle just wish the customer service was better and that the closure was not shedding so much because it really is a nice piece. All in all I would not order from them again.

She's not as talented or experienced in hair styling as she claims. Sounds harsh but I'm being honest. I went to her on a limb and it was the most confusing process I've ever experienced trying to get my hair done. She wanted me to spend +300 dollars for new hair plus pay her for a sew in. I had $540 hair from Yummyhaircollection that I invested in for the sole purpose to reuse it. She basically said she couldn't do anything with my bundles "because they were cut", and she would have to charge me double to reuse them. I had never heard of something so stupid. My sister (who has been a licensed cosmetologist since 17) usually does my sew ins, but was unavailable so I though I'd go to Chaz. NEVER AGAIN. My sister can hook some hair up using 15 used cut tracks and she's never worked in a shop (she's an accountant). Some of these stylist are SCAMMERS and are very LAZY! I feel like what makes a great stylist is versatility, and being able to give your client the look they desire and just being able to make it work. Now my tracks weren't AS BAD AS SHE MADE THEM SEEM or I would have just ordered new bundles (High quality ones at that) it's just sad that some of these Cleveland stylist falsely advertise their talents and basically rob women of they're money! Smh

This place is wonderful and professional. There is a young lady there with a nose ring ( cant remember her name) but she was great and had good convo as she was doing my hair. Place is clean and they have great customer service..i recommend this place100%.
