All of the ladies at J&L have been amazing. I have been going to them for many years now and have never had a single problem. Meagan is a Miracle Worker and I have always been more then happy with my hair when I leave! She has taken me from blonde to very dark, back to very blonde all while keeping my hair healthier then ever! Highly recommend J&L! You wont be disappointed!!

A few years ago the owner and an employee were very mean to me and overcharged me for coloring my hair simply because I politely suggested that she, the owner, use my hair to get the color stain off my face. This is a very commonly used technique I knew because I went to hairdressing school myself and she was not doing it. She was instead scrubbing my forehead with a towel which was hurting. She got angry and told me how long she had been hairdressing. I never returned.

This salon is classy, clean and, chic. The hair dressers are very personable and skilled at their job. I have been coming here for years and know friends who come to Camrose JUST to get their hair done at Nica's. Make sure you book ahead and leave a nice tip!

They have always managed to fit me in, had a great time here getting the hair done. My wife loved the hair style which means "I love it too" lol

Over priced and did not do what I wanted. When she was doing my hair she kept talking about how bad my hair was and turned my hair light brown instead of blonde and then charged me $400 for it all. Will never return there or recommend to anyone I could have done a better job myself

Would not recommend this place to anyone. I was recently in to get blonde highlights and a trim. Kim was able to get me in for a same day appointment which I was appreciative of. The minute I sat down in her chair she was checking the clock and told me she was in a hurry because she had plans later. She chopped 3 inches off my hair and when I noticed and said something she continued to cut and said it was just the ends and they were scraggly anyway. While applying my highlights and gossiping about other business owners, one of the foils slipped from her hands and she cussed and grunted then blamed it on being short. She screwed up a foil and sprayed a water bottle directly into my eyes which left water and bleach dripping down my face. To turn my face to the opposite side she shoved two fingers into my chin (far from gently). My total appointment time was 1 hour and 25 mins which as many people know is not enough time for a good job with blonde highlights and a cut. I now need to spend the money to have my hair colored and cut all over again as I am embarrassed about what it currently looks like. Horrible experience, never going back, and am appalled that someone operates their business this way.

Nice friendly staff. Always can get a haircut on short notice.
