A negative experience

Had a disappointing experience with UCC Dental. Short story is that they did some minor work for my daughter. The work cost just over $200, which was paid in full at that time. The work they did failed after 8 days. My daughter returned to UCC Dental and they redid the work, this time more substantially (ie. using glue on *every* tooth to reattach a wire), at no cost. This time the work failed after 2 days. Within 2 days, all of the glue on every tooth completely came off. My daughter elected to not return to UCC Dental for a 3rd repair and unfortunately UCC Dental has declined the request to refund the cost of the twice-failed work. Instead, they've offered to replace it a third time. However, given the evidence and the poor experience, this is not an option she will proceed with.

All the staff members were very friendly and capable of answering any questions I had. I was informed of what to expect, along with roughly how long each step of the process would take, and the individual charges broken down. Donna, the manager, was very thorough in explaining how my wisdom teeth extraction would go, along with the associated risks, and what to do before, during, and after the extraction. She would stop every few minutes to make sure I understood everything and answered any questions that I had at that time. She stated that she would have to check with the extraction dentist and determine the cost of the operation, depending on the individual risk of each tooth removed. The email with the cost estimate was received a few hours after I left. Will update with how the operation went if/when it happens.

Great experience, I highly recommend this place. The staff was very courteous, explained the entire procedure and were very receptive to any question I asked. I went there three times, fully exhausted my insurance coverage, and still had a minor procedure left over. Instead of paying out of pocket, Dr. Belanger waived what was not covered by my insurance without a shred of hesitation.

DO NOT GO HERE. If you are a student at Western go to any other dental clinic in London. Went here TWICE, once to do a cleaning and another for a cavity filling. Both times I told them that I was unsure of my insurance coverage and they told me it would be covered WITHOUT telling me that I should go and check it myself. After getting both appointments, only when I'm asked to pay do they tell me that my insurance couldn't cover the appointments. I had to pay almost $150 for my cleaning and $400 for my filling even though they told me my cleaning was covered and I'll only have to pay $80 for my filling. HIGHLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. They do not do good business nor do they help students out. Go anywhere else!

I have had multiple cleanings here and they were all great. The oral hygienists are all lovely and take care of the patients. I recently got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled here as well and wow did it go amazing! I was nervous going into it but I soon realized that it definitely is not as bad as people make it seem to be. Dr. Rifkind, the oral surgeon who comes once a month for extractions, is a remarkably cool and fun guy. I was doubtful at first because he was young but upon meeting him I realized he was a great surgeon and a nice guy to talk to. 10/10 would recommend, staff is great! Prices are a little steep, especially as I had to pay $2000 out of pocket, but Donna offers payment plans which helps out a bit.

DO NOT GO HERE. I went in for a teeth cleaning because I was going through exams and did not have time to go home to my dentist. They charged me for a new patient exam and did not tell me this was associated with an extra cost apart from my teeth cleaning. My insurance does not cover this regularly so I am stuck paying 100 out of my pocket for this. They went ahead and charged my card without me agreeing to it. When I called them, the manager, Donna, she told me she believes I was told. No help has been given and the response I got was despicable. Also their teeth cleaning was sub-par. I can feel the difference when I go to my dentist. I was given a sub-par teeth cleaning with a ONE MINUTE examination for 210 dollars! Lovely. Go to another dentist on Oxford and save yourself the stupidity.
