I can't describe how much Dr. LaPorta and his staff exceeded my expectations with the recent gengival grafting I had done at his office. Absolutely no discomfort while being administered even the local anesthetic before the procedure, felt nothing during the procedure, and Motrin for several days was all I took though I essentially had no discomfort i took it to minimize any inflammation. The staff was courteous and informative. Overall I will highly recommend to others. And technically by the way, Dr. LaPorta is highly competent. My graft is above my upper left canine and when I smile the graft blends right in with the original tissue and asthetically is a noticeable improvement for me.

Dr LaPorta is so gentle. I have had bone grafting done and implants and didn't feel a thing. He also took the time to call me at home the night of the surgery to make sure I was doing ok I have such bad gums that I have to go every six months for deep cleanings. I wouldn't trust my mouth with any other specialist. His staff is amazing. It's like visiting with friends.

Wow Dr. LaPorta is awesome! I was so nervous and he made me feel so comfortable. He explained everything to me and why I have this perio issue. I was reluctant to have a surgery but I needed it. I spoke to front desk lady (Maggie) a few times and she knew so much great infomation to prepare me for my surgery. She called all my medications in advance which was so convenient! I felt absolutely no pain during injections and after the surgery. I am recommending this office to everyone I hear that needs a periodontist!

My experience with Connecticut Periodontal Specialists was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and prompt. I felt that they listened to me regarding the issues that I was having with my teeth and were able to fix the problems that I had with my bite. Dr. LaPorta explained everything in detail, and was extremely gentle. I will be recommending him to all my family and friends!

Biggest waste of money for a "maybe" outcome. Dental implants with bone grafting is risky, imo. I had one fail and the pain to remove it, and then re-graft and re-drill, without any pain medication, was by far, the worst experience I have ever had, with any doctor. If you have good bone,go for it. If you are allergic to NSAIDS, and are sensitive to dental procedures, then go someplace else. You will be offered an ice pack and a 2 oz bottle of Listerine. Since the "failure" they have never re-scheduled my "deep cleanings" anymore. My primary care doctor was privy to all of this. He told me to, "find a new dentist."
