Dr. Maldonado and his Staff are the best around from the front desk girls to the assistants. My mom and I will recommend everyone we know to Smile Haven Dental Center. My mother has been to several different dentist in her 60 years of life and has yet to find a dentist that she stays with for very long due to quality and also understanding most offices do not explain procedures so that the patient fully understands. Dr. Maldonado took his time to go over all treatment and made sure we understood everything before leaving the office and gave us options, he was also patient with my mom due to her hearing is not the best. My Mom has found her Forever Dental Office Thanks to Smile Haven Dental Center.

Dr. Maldonado and his staff are amazing! After a horrible experience at Horizon Dental, I was recommended to Smile Haven to see Dr. Maldonado. He not only corrected my two front teeth, but also went above and beyond to make sure I was able to confidently smile for my upcoming wedding. His caring, dedication to his profession, and generosity make his practice one of the best dental offices I have ever visited. Years of phobias of the dentist went by the wayside with his chair side manner and the staff is welcoming and genuinely caring about all their patients. I am overjoyed to have found a Dr. that truly takes the time and effort for all of his patients and am happy to introduce his practice as our new family dentist.

Very rude and kind of pushy, they do not deserve the 1 star. Went to the office with a tooth that was abscessed & a fear of the dentist. Their idea of sedation is a Xanax before hand (which I did not know), no laughing gas. The doctor discouraged me from getting the 1 painful tooth out during this visit due to my fear, despite my extreme pain. Proceeded to tell me he would only remove the painful tooth with 2 other broken teeth (that were not causing problems) all at 1 time with just novocaine & Xanax, knowing my fear. His reasoning was that it was more efficient. They clearly do not care how the patient feels as the dental assistant was just as rude. Regret wasting my time here.

Pain Management is #1 here - I HIGHLY recommend this place!!! I saw 2 other dentists before finding out about Smile Haven from a co-worker. I needed a tooth extraction and was not interested in having it done with anyone I didn't feel had my best interests in mind. Smile Haven was the first to actually tell me what ALL of my options were, good or bad and DID NOT steer me like the other 2 offices did. The staff is wonderful and really make sure you are comfortable and not in any pain at all. They even re-took my x-rays without charging me because the previous office (Clover Leaf) took blurry shots that were hard to see. At Smile Haven, they make sure quality is only second to pain management and when I say I felt nothing, I mean it - 100% numb. My aching tooth was split, pulled and I was stitched up without feeling anything at all - because the started the rounds of novocaine well in advance (not right before surgery) with more added as they checked on my numbing progress. They made sure that I couldn't feel a thing and I am so grateful. The dentist is VERY skilled at what he does and did a great job. I went home with a prescription an antibiotic and for my pain pill of choice - so nice, because I feel sick on popular pain meds like Percocet, so I asked for Tramadol instead. Had I not been given a choice, I would have gone without pain management and that's not what anyone wants.

I don't know that anyone likes to go to the dentist but this office will certainly make your experience the best possible. The staff here are fun, caring and extremely efficient. The Dentist is knowledgeable, thorough and can be trusted which is HUGE when it comes to dentistry. He will evaluate your situation and give you an honest recommendation on what to do, whether it's something that needs to be taken care of or simply something that you may just want to keep an eye on. This honest is huge with me, as I have 2 kids that also go to this office. My previous dentist used to insist on filling and anything that could possibly mean more money. Here it's the total opposite. You can trust that your kids aren't just going to be receiving unnecessary work. Another point I would like to make is that any procedure that myself or my children have had has been done with a minimal amount of pain. If you are sensitive to pain then this is absolutely the right place for you. I have had a lot of things done with no numbing at all and I am a huge baby when it comes to dentist work.
