Dr. Satterfield is beyond absolutely amazing. My 3 year old daughter was born with a cleft lip and bilateral palette, so we are no stranger to surgeries and emergency procedures. This Dr was recommended to us by my daughter's many specialists at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and it was the best decision we've ever made. Yesterday my daughter had an emergency arise after she hit her face and her false teeth sliced open her gumline pretty bad. I called them to see what the wanted me to do and an hour later the Dr. herself called me back and told me to bring her in. Now, we live 2 and half hours away, so when she called I informed her that even leaving right that minute, I wouldn't make it there until well after the office closed at 4, to which she responded with, "I'll wait for you as long as it takes" and she did. We didn't make it there until 5:30 and she was there by herself waiting to see my daughter. She handled the situation quickly and got us out of there and on our way back home within 20 minutes. Obviously having the issues my daughter does and having had all the surgeries she has had so far, she's always apprehensive about people being in her mouth, but Dr and her staff are absolutely amazing with her and they are so patient and kind. I truly will never trust anyone else with the care and well being of my daughters teeth.

Incredible office facility! Dr. Siegel and her staff are a dream to work with. The way they intentionally interact with and care for children is so refreshing to witness, in the dental world. If you have children, no matter their age, Special Smiles' practice takes the fear and uncertainty out of the picture, when it's time for a dental visit.

We were referred to Special Smiles Dentistry by our son's sleep medicine doctor a little over a year ago. We were there to get a recommendation on whether our son was a candidate for maxillary expansion. When we got there, there was a long wait to see the doctor. Once they finally took my son back, we were told that their camera wasn't working, so they took pictures of my son's mouth with a cell phone. We were getting pretty suspicious at this point that this place was not on the up-and-up, but our fears were eased when we met Dr. Jennifer Satterfield-Siegel whose personable, professional manner inspired confidence. She explained the procedure well, and quickly built a rapport with our son. Unfortunately, we were right to be concerned. We were told that we'd hear back from the doctor in a couple days with a recommendation. When I hadn't heard back in a week, I called them. A receptionist took down my concerns, then called back that afternoon - leaving me a message that said the doctor was still "reviewing the data" and that I should hear back in a couple days. After another week without hearing back, I called them again. This time they told me that the doctor was on vacation, and wouldn't be back for another week. At this point, we gave up on hearing back from Special Smiles, and decided to look for a recommendation elsewhere. We were partially right. We never did hear back with a recommendation, but we do regularly receive a past-due bill from them. There's no way I'm paying for the recommendation I never received.

We were so lucky to find Special Smiles. Dr. Satterfield-Siegel takes care of our children as if they are her own. They are in good hands when they are at her practice and we are happy to refer her to others.

Love the staff and Dr.. she's amazing with my 5 yr old with Down syndrome. Very thorough, takes time to explain and teach.
