It really upsets me that I have to leave a bad review for this place, because Dr. Steakley himself is very nice and personable. I came to this office after moving from Indiana based on their reviews. My first visit was overall enjoyable. However, when I made my appointment, I asked for a basic cleaning and exam. I had my previous records sent from my former dentist. When Steakleys staff were taking x-rays, they seemed to take more than normal so I asked the tech if these were the basic ones covered by my insurance and explicitly stated that I did not want anything extra taken that wasn't 100% covered with insurance. She assured me I wouldn't be charged. This past week I get a bill in the mail for extra x-Ray charges not covered by insurance. I called my insurance and the office to try to sort the issue out, because my insurance DOES cover basic radiographs 100%. This office just took more than what was necessary. Office staff member Karen tried to redirect my issue and the conversation became heated after I asked to have the charges removed. It seemed as if she didn't want to admit that I had been wrongfully overcharged. Also, they told me I had 11 cavities in the past year. That seemed unlikely to me, so I went back to my old dentist on a recent trip to Indiana and he only found 4. The other "cavities" were just areas for potential cavities and did not require actual fillings. He recommended another dentist in the area which I will now be seeing. Dr. Steakley himself is very nice and I hope that others check their insurance plans to ensure they are not overcharged by office staff like I was.

Dr. Steakley is a great dentist! He's concerned and thorough (and painless); with a convivial demeanor, a jovial attitude and a great staff. Most importantly, I fully trust him, his skills and his treatment plans. He almost makes me not mind going to the dentist. Actually, if your promise not to tell anyone...I actually enjoy my visits. Seriously, I'm lucky to have found him.

I finally found a doctor I love! Dr. Steakley and all of his staff are amazing. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with friendly smiling faces. They were extremely helpful, even while figuring out an insurance problem. I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes to get called back. The nurses, hygienist, and dentist were all great at explaining everything they were doing and made me feel comfortable. Who else can say that they were laughing and talking all through their dental cleaning? Even when I had to go back for a filling, the procedure was painless and I was relaxed. This is a wonderful place! You know you found a great dentist when you actually have a good time during your appointment! I highly recommended it to anyone looking for a dentist!

I went to see Dr. Steakley after I had a bad experience with a dentistry chain. The facilities were clean and the people were very friendly. The Doctor was awesome, even though he's from Ohio! :) Unlike most Dentists, he took the time to come talk to me and had very good bedside (or should I say chair side) manners! I will be recommending him to anyone looking and not looking for a dentist.

I love the staff because they make the effort to build a personal relationship with you. My visits are effortless and they know what works best for me. When I have needed to get into the office for an emergency, they are always prompt in getting me in and fixing the problem so it is not reoccurring. The entire staff works to make sure my dentistry needs are met and I enjoy being around them.
