Terrible. Dr Hornick couldn’t even get a single filling right. He did three on my upper left and I had pain immediately. Had to get adjustments 3 times before I could eat and even then it was still sensitive. Made me afraid of dentists because this was also my first experience with getting fillings (20 years old). I didn’t go to one for 3 years and just dealt with the pain. Luckily I got a front desk job at one of the best dentists in the tri state area. She was amazed after looking at my xrays. Not only was it a hack job, but he hadn’t even taken out any of the decay!! I was lucky I didn’t need a root canal. Needless to say, she fixed them PROPERLY and I haven’t had any issues. I also let him make me a night guard before I knew what terrible idea that would be. I’m out $600 and it didn’t even fit, it was so tight that my teeth were sore! Do not see John Hornick! I can’t imagine how much money I would be out if I didn’t work at a dentist now.

Thank you so very much Dr. Hornick!! You saved me today. Accepted me into your office an emergency patient, took the time to evaluate my situation, and then proceeded to give me the best care possible. Your staff are just as wonderful! Thank you again.

I went to Dr. Hornick for several years. Every time I went in, he wanted to fix something else. His big "Concern" with me was replacing my metal fillings with Almagram fillings. I had 1 very large filling in the lower right in the back that I let him replace, along with one on the upper right. I had to go back and have him "file down" the one on the bottom and to this day, the one on the top is sensitive. I have since gone to another "competent" dentist and now I have to have a crown put on the bottom filling that I haven't even had a year because it cracked the whole way across! He never told me that once you take a a very large filling and have it replaced that the tooth should be crowned. I agree with a previous reviewer in that he is very self-centered, ALWAYS talked about his sick daughter but displayed an "I could care less" attitude when I told him my husband had prostrate cancer. Also very, VERY pushy to get procedures done that probably don't need to be done. He seems to be all about the money, and NOT about the patient!!

The wife (Heidi) is competent. The husband (John) is a self centered chatterbox. He's just uncomfortable to be around. Exactly what you want in a dentist! Won't go back.
