Message From Lu Lau Dental Examination Consultants Our business organization has operated for nearly thirty years in the facilitation of the examination process for candidates with their dental board exams. The examination process is a difficult journey and it is very common for the stress of the process to cause many candidates to drop out prior to their actual exam date. Because the majority of our business efforts occur in the preparation for the actual exam date our business contract agreements do not provide for refunds of payment for services but instead provides for the rescheduling of our services to a time when the examination candidate is mentally prepared to take the actual exam. As a result of these logical and compassionate business practices several disgruntled examination candidates have published false and derogatory statements about our business. These statements include the false claims of lawsuits against our business for fraud or other causes of action. Again these

Winnie (review below) recommended that I use Lu Lao Dental Exam Consultants. I also had a great experience with them! Although I didn't get to review my lesions until the day before (Eric had a medical emergency to attend to but also made every effort to keep in touch and get me ready for the exam), I got to meet all my patients personally and review lesions with Dr. Lau. If you have any concerns, they are open to discussion. Just call/email/talk to them if you have any concerns, they will respond. Also remember that you are the one ultimately responsible for diagnosing caries and perio. All my patients were accepted on exam day. Dr. Lau and Lu and their staff are very sweet people. The patients were very nice and easygoing. Lu Lao is very experienced with this process and I'm glad they offer this service at a very reasonable cost, it really helps people who do not live in the area. Thank you for everything, and yes, I passed as well!

I paid Lu Lau to locate a patient for me for the anterior restorative portion of the CDCA exam. It was very expensive but well worth it. No regrets at all! Just that I wish I had known about them sooner. No modifications to the cavity prep needed which saved a lot of time. Lu and Eric thoroughly explained strategies for the exam, lesion selection etc which really paid off on exam day. Lu traveled to the exam site with the patient so there was no anxiety about patient no-shows. I normally never post reviews for anything. But, I was so thankful for their help that I wanted to let others know of my good experience in the event that anyone else might be in the situation that I was in. Everything they promised in advance, they delivered (and more). I'm glad that I don't have to use them again for the CDCA exam (I am done with the CDCA exam), but if I needed patients for any dental licensing exam, I would call them before even bothering to screen for patients. I saw some negative reviews which is what made me initially hesitate to contact them. However, the negative reviews, in my experience with Lu Lau, are completely unfounded. All of my interactions with Lu Lau were overwhelmingly positive. I finally made the decision to contact Lu Lau after hearing very positive feedback about them from a couple of my closest friends.

Very unprofessional staff, and owner Eric. You can even see from the reviews that they have no customer service skills as they respond to negative reviews by accusing people of lying instead of trying to listen and fix the problem. I've had friends come here as well and everyone was dissatisfied. Never again, its not worth it. (addition since first post) The owner just responded and must not have a good record system of clients and their procedures as they cant find me in their records, ridiculous. I had two visits there and have the freedom to post negative reviews because of a negative experiences. Word of advice, listen to your negative reviews maybe you can make your business better instead of lying and trying to say every negative comment is falsified. p.s. Please take a look at their yelp reviews and pages of dental students' reviews on other websites who have similar and even worse complaints, some even include threats by the owner, and I can believe it to be the truth. Have a great day.

I would not recommend Lu Lau. These people caused me nothing but stress. You will not get your lesions until a few days before the exam, despite what they will tell you. Do not count on them being ideal lesions either. These are unethical people who are only out for your money. I called Lu Lau directly to tell her that the study models I had to present for evaluation did not belong to the patient, and she aggressively threatened and insulted me. :-(

My experience at Lu Lau was that I got the patients with the ideal lesions and very easy going patients. When I first call the place, I was greeted by a guy name Eric. This is a family business. Eric is the son in Law of Dr Calvin Lau. Lu is Dr Lau's wife. Eric was very personable on the phone and ensure me that everything will be fine. Even tho the contract says you will get the pateint's xray 2 weeks prior, i did not get it til the few days prior to the exam. But I now understand why that was the case, it's because Lu (Dr Lau's wife) likes to take very updated xray and wants to make sure the patient does show up to the exam and confirms with them few days prior. So I'm just telling potential customers not to stress out about getting the xrays weeks prior. And Lu made sure i was comfortable with the xrays and showed me backup cases as well. All in all a great experience and most importantly I passed!
