Sheridan Cyrus Dentistry

Dr Cyrus is caring, he explains everything he has to do, and his office is state of the art. His staff is top notch, and hygienists very thorough. (You even get to watch TV while having your teeth work done as well) I like going there too, as Dr Cyrus supports the community, he always gives back, I have been going there over 15 years now, I have nothing but great experiences there. These people are awesome! I would recommend this office to anyone.

My family has been patients of Dr. Cyrus' Dental office for over 25 years. Our collective experiences during that period have been positive, enlightening and very gratifying. The entire staff is always friendly, informative and extremely professional. Their service is absolutely outstanding. In addition to these attributes, their contribution to the communities of Toronto, Grenada and Jamaica are significant and extraordinary. If you're in search of an efficient and reliable Dental office, we strongly recommend that you pay them a visit.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE FOR ANYTHING MORE INVOLVED THAN TEETH CLEANING. I will never be returning. Nor will my husband, son, mother or brother. If I could give less than a 1 star, I would. Although I have been going to this dentist for years, they’ve expanded their office and brought in a lot less experienced dentists, hygienists and receptionists who have ruined the the whole feeling of family and quality that use to exist. Recently Went in for a root canal and filling (over 3 visits) and had the Worst dental experience of my life. I actually found another dentist to do the root canal because of the experience and was amazed by how much more professional the dental office was. Some of the dentists and hygenist are extremely unprofessional (one even made jokes about my teeth) and have very involved conversations with each other when they should be focusing on what they’re doing. Kelvin is literally the only person I’d ever let touch my teeth again. Some of their dentists are not as experienced as they pretend to be and their actions (and lack thereof) have led to more out of pocket expense for me to fix my teeth. BEWARE! And I agree with Heather Lynds post that they call as often as telemarketers at times. Very annoying

I am so disturbed by my visit to Sheridan Cyrus Dentistry. I brought my mother and aunt in for dental cleaning this afternoon. When I made the appointment, I explained that neither have dental insurance and will be paying out of pocket so if they could quote a price. I was told that prices couldn’t be given over the phone without being seen by the dentist. Once we arrived, both my aunt and mom were treated by two different dentists and both came back with horrible experiences: My mother asked for the price of her cleaning and the dentist said that her teeth were in such bad shape that she would need not regular, but deep cleaning and told her $200. She actually goes to a dentist regularly and had her last cleaning about 6 months ago. She takes care of her teeth and gums so was surprised that her teeth were in such bad shape. Since she was already in the chair, she agreed to the cost. She didn’t feel much discomfort or bleeding with the “deep cleaning” that her teeth required. Furthermore they told her that she needed to have fillings done. She was not given a price when she asked how much it would cost. She didn’t have an x-ray taken even though she was a new patient and was not given any anesthesia when they did the filling. She came out and was given a bill of $800 My aunt had not seen a dentist in over a year and was also told her teeth needed deep cleaning. She was also told that she had to have a filling replaced when the dentist/hygienist broke the filling while cleaning. She asked how much it would cost and she was told that the prices would only be given at the front desk. She came out and was handed a bill of $700 What is the matter with this establishment? Knowing full well that this will be paid for out of pocket by 2 seniors, why would your dentists not let the patient know how much they will be billed? Do you people assume that people are walking around with $1500 to give to you at one visit? They would have made additional appointments so they could balance the charges over a few months instead of one visit. When I asked one of the 3 secretaries in the front why they weren’t given prices for the treatment, they will look at you and speak to you like you are not making sense and even accuse you of lying and trying to make it seem that the dentists did give prices.. When I told Fateema, the first secretary, she actually said “so you’re telling me that both doctors didn’t tell them the cost?” In an accusatory tone. Why would they agree to the charges with the dentist, and then be shocked at the front? How does that make sense? Anyways, I’m writing this review to give a warning to new patients. Dental work can get expensive when it’s paid out of pocket. If you do end up choosing to visit Dr. Cyrus dentistry, make sure there is complete transparency with the price of your treatment. The dentist will tell you the front desk is the only place you can know prices and the front desk will claim that the dentist would never do any work without letting you know the price of the treatment beforehand. They will throw any numbers on the bill after you have left the chair and put you in a really bad place, financially. This one visit is enough for us to never ever consider Dr. Sheridan Cyrus’ dental office and I think others should use our bad experience to do the same!

Everyone in the dental office was kind and great! Though I was little late for my appointment, they understood the situation :) And doctor G was great! He explained all about my status and procedures of the treatment. Thank you.
