I have been a client of Danforth's Children's Dentistry for 13 years commencing in 2009. The level of classism experienced shatters the idea of equality. Canadians speak of our neighboring country, the US, as deplorable when it comes to health care. I am here to speak up and say Canada is mimicking the very essence of how the US treats their people surrounding health care. Danforth Children's Dentistry (Toronto) allots a certain number of spots for those on HSO (Healthy Smiles Ontario). The last visit to Danforth Children’s Dentistry was Nov 2021. The appointment was set for Dec 23, 2022. The appointment was bumped without notice to May of 2023. Let’s do the match here. A child is to be seen minimum once a year. When I pointed out it had been over a year there was no compassion nor intent to want to correct the situation. I was told there are no openings for HSO clients till May 2023. I indicated I will put my son under my insurance. I was then offered a spot in Feb of 2023 with any date and time I would prefer. CLASSISM at it’s finest. WOW!

My 3 year old had to do some major dental work. We researched at least 4-5 dentistry in Toronto/Scarborough and took my kid for 2 other dentists in person but I am so glad I chose to go with Danforth Children Dentistry at last. Danforth Children Dentistry is the only place who offered to do my kid's x-ray with out sedation. The staff who did the initial diagnosis was so compassionate and patient despite my son's wildest screams. Dr. Romaine is the best and the most caring doctor you could ever leave ur kid with. Their office is at an amazing spot and they have some nice toys for kids to play with. Admin staffs were honest and patiently clarified all our concerns. You can feel the comforting atmosphere and the positive energy while with them. Eternally grateful to your service!

I took my nearly 3 year old here for her first dental visit. She was very scared and upset but the hygienist and dentist were absolutely amazing with her. They took it slow and did everything possible to put her at ease. I highly recommend this dentist for young children.

My daughter is tough as nails and puts up a fight for almost every visit. Nevertheless, staff is always so kind and patient with her. Sarah, the hygienist is so awesome and does a great job in engaging my kids in the process so as not to frighten them and Dr. Sonia is super sweet and really knows how to talk to the kids so they understand the importance of proper oral hygiene. Keep up the great work!

Our 10 month old lost a tooth during some aggressive play and they offered us a next day appointment. Staff there knew how to handle infants and they slotted us in for a small procedure within a couple of hours following the initial radiograph and assessment. Attending dentist followed up later in the evening by phone to check in and offer advice on caring for our child over the coming days. Thank you!
