I have been using Balsam Dental’s services since I moved to the area five years ago. I have been very happy with their services, and I am NOT a big fan of going to the dentist! (due to a negative and painful experience many years ago). I appreciate their reminder calls when I am due for an appointment. I usually ignore the (probably monthly) calls/messages and eventually book an appointment. Despite my avoidance, they are still friendly and professional on the phone and when I arrive. In my most recent visit, I had a hygienist that I hadn’t had before, Ryan. He was the best hygienist I’ve ever had: very gentle, thorough, and gave feedback that made sense and was helpful. Overall, I just really appreciate the way I am treated, especially with my avoidance and nervousness. I would highly recommend this dental office!

I had been a patient of Dr. Caplan’s since I was very young. Even after we moved out of the area, we continued to make the effort to be a patient of his, as he is wonderful dentist with such a caring staff. After Dr. Caplan retired, I was considering going to a dental clinic closer to where I live. Then one day, my son developed a very painful toothache. I tried calling some of the local clinics, but no one would take him that day (except for one, who wanted us to pay an ‘emergency fee’). My son was in so much pain, I just couldn’t wait another day or two, so I called Balsam Dental. They were very sympathetic to my situation and told me to bring my son in immediately and that they ‘would just make it work’. I was incredibly relieved to hear this from the receptionist. When I arrived, the clinic was busier than I had remembered it. I am not sure how they did it (maybe they called in another dentist to help us), but my son was in a chair inside of 15 minutes of our arrival. Both the staff and doctors were absolutely amazing, and I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend Balsam Dental. They are every bit as good as I remember, and in some ways, even better.

Myself, my wife and my children recently became new patients of Balsam Dental and had a very warm, friendly and positive experience with the dentist and hygenist (all staff). Very happy with our decision to switch to them.

After many years as a patient I still love to refer my family and friends to see Dr. Caplan and all the wonderful staff at Balsam Dental. I feel like I"m visiting old friends when I go there! I love the fact that Dr. Caplan takes the time to explain every step of the procedure he is doing . I always end up staying longer to chat with the extremely friendly ladies at the front desk. Even though I no longer live in the Beach I still make the trip in to see them. It is always a pleasure! I love the old home that they keep beautifully decorated.

Recently I switched dentists and am thankful I did. I started seeing Dr. Caplan for my dental care. He gave me clear explanations about all the required procedures and did not do any unwarranted work. The office staff was extremely helpful as I had to book my appointments around numerous other commitments. I highly recommend this practice. I feel like now my teeth will last my lifetime!!!!!
