My family and I came to DC for a few days without planning on dining at a “fancy” restaurant. Some of us had fancy attire on while others were dressed appropriately for the cold (and extremely rainy) weather. We took one step in and the hostess proceeded to look me up and down before saying they were all full for the evening, which was a blatant lie. There were only a handful of other people at the very open restaurant. Being in the mood for steak, the family headed to a different PRIME restaurant where we were seated right away. While on the way to this other restaurant we called McCormick’s. They told us to come right in because and they had plenty of room. We caught them in their lie, and they didn’t know how to respond. Very rude service. Will never be back again.

My husband and I had a most enjoyable meal in McCormick & Schmick's when we were on vacation in DC. Kaleab was our waiter. He was brilliant at recommending wines and courses. Also, he didn't push us to the more expensive options (although we did end up spending a lot, thanks to my husband's choice of an expensive wine). All in all, a memorable experience.

I came here on May the 19th with my family table of 14 for my birthday.. which also my now fiancé proposed to me. It was a very great experience the service was superior. No long wait time everything was out on time.. plus it was very busy I had one server for my party she did a great job.. I will definitely go back.. GREAT JOB!! Food was on point 👍🏾😄👰🏿🥂

Wonderful dining experience. The service was impeccable and the salmon more than satisfied. No one at our table of 5 was disappointed. My son thoroughly enjoyed his steak and chocolate bag dessert.

Went for Sunday happy hour with a few friends. Wound up staying until close! Friendly staff that all worked well together; engaging but not hovering. Great cocktails and happy hour snack menu. Excellent atmosphere. Music selection was a little too varied (some of it really didn't go with the vibe of the place), but was not too loud and was easy to tune out when they were playing something I wasn't into. Try the fish tacos: they're amazing!
