This is for the lounge.... in short the waitstaff made this place horrendous. They had a chip on their shoulders as big as the Mississippi is wide. They quibbled over who was responsible for which area and then vanished for long periods of time leaving empty water glasses and parched patrons waiting for drinks that never seemed to make it to the table. They will not have to worry soon though.... with services like it will be a deadzone.

Food is never hot at buffet stay to omelet station if you want hot food

This restaurant/bar is in the lobby of the New Orleans Marriott on Canal St. It's a really cool/classy atmosphere, but even with my price expectations adjusted for the French Quarter, the food is still too expensive for what you get here. The only reason I would eat here (unless they overhaul the menu) would be if it's pouring rain and I'm staying at the hotel. Otherwise, there are too many good food places within a short walk of the Marriott.

Service not the best, made reservation and didn't need it. The complimentary bread was not good. Calamari had a very nice coating of seasoned breading. Price $12.00. Shrimp and grits, cheese not melted, tomatoes just sliced in half and flavor is mild. Price $18.00. Plain mac and cheese, daughter said it was ok but wouldn't order again price $12.00. Did not finish entrees. Sat waiting for staff for 18 minutes for dessert order and check. Environment 2/5 Service 1/5 Food 2.5/5 Would i return? I had breakfast here earlier and i would return for that, but not dinner. Ordered creme brulee for dessert, never came out, waitress needed to go to kitchen to locate it, which took her 10 minutes of not serving her tables. When it came out, mediocre. Paying was a hassle as well.

I ordered the charboiled oysters and they were so delicious! Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and juicy. The oysters were sprinkled generously with melted cheese and sat on top of thick salt rocks. If I knew they'd be this delicious, I would have ordered more!
