Wow what an incredible experience. If your even considering this place. Forget it. Get your ass down here. The mushrooms are so amazing I’ve never seen mushrooms so big let alone such an amazing texture. The burnt ends make my mouth water just gazing upon them! As soon as they placed my tongue they just fell apart. Best place in KC. IF YOU ARE NOT HERE YOUR MISSING OUT. Almost forgot to tell you about the customer service!? Amazing they make you feel like your at home. Good luck, l know you won’t forget it.

Four Stars means it was a very good place in every way but without being romantic, formal or unique. They do excellent BBQ, including fish, and I recommend the shrimp! My party of 4 was there on Mother's Day with a reservation. The place was busy, with people waiting. There were a number of large parties with children. Our waitress was experienced, friendly and accurate. The sides are rather generous and can be shared. The others got pulled pork and pulled beef, dinners that came with 2 small or 1 large side. I got the appetizer BBQ shrimp, which had 12 large juicy shrimp in a slightly spicy buttery sauce. The dinner portion is exactly the same, with sides. My mates shared their sides and we all were very satiated. Our total bill was quite reasonable. Photo: We had an appetizer of deep fried mushrooms as large as donuts!

Has become my favorite barbecue place in KC. We were able to get a table for 8 with only a 30 minute wait at 6pm on a Friday. Great food excellent variety. The halibut special was superb. Burnt ends and brisket are to die for. Very accommodating wait staff. Good wines reasonably priced.

I wanted to order the pulled pork and rib dish, but our server suggested the burnt ends in place of one of those, so I chose ribs with it. She also suggested getting a beef and pork mix on the burnt ends, which was amazing because I confirmed my love of pork over beef when it comes to bbq. The sides were very filling. Order the jalapeno cheese corn bread, the butter it comes with is amazing! Overall great service, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, and during the busy lunch hour, the wait was hardly a wait, we sat in the bar area.

Our bartender, Laura, was fantastic. Helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and Kansas City. Service was top notch and the food was a very close second. Delicious flavors in their barbecue. I tried burnt ends for the first time, so tasty. Also tried their beef ribs, beef brisket and another first, lamb ribs. The lamb ribs were amazing with meat so tender it melted in your mouth. Can't go wrong at this upscale bbq joint.
