My first time here was during Taco Crawl week. I probably wouldn't have come in otherwise, but I'm glad I did. It's really nice inside. It wasn't that busy, but it was a Monday. I was a little confused when I walked in, but that's not hard for me. You have to place your order at the counter, so there's no table service. It seemed weird because by the looks inside you wouldn't get that vibe. They give you a number to place on the table so they know where to deliver your tasty treats. Very casual. We ordered the chicken tacos because they were advertised for the Taco Crawl. They were okay, nothing exceptional. Flavor was good, seasoning was good, and they were filling. 4 out of 5 for the tacos. The vibe inside was very relaxed and cozy. And there was a bar to the side. I would probably come here again to try something new.

The bad. It's Salem downtown parking pick your battles. The amazing. Amazing location on the corner. Very welcoming store front and an instant feeling of nostalgia when you walk in. It's an amazing blend of new and old with a clear touch of class. Check the menu before you arrive or wait and do some research in line. The wait can be a tad long. The bar is well laid out. On to the food. I had the caprese pizza, its akin to a margherita pizza but with balsamic. Its delightful, light and full of fresh flavor. The reduced aged balsamic is a luxurious balance of sweet and that tang that let's you know it's a fantastic dish. Good upstairs for a small gathering. Prices are mid range but very much worth each cent. I will be back.

One of my favorite locations in Salem. Their establishment has a classy, modern touch with a minimalist feel, in a great location. The wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly, their food simple and flavorful. Every experience feels like a treat. Lack of seating and table service are easily their biggest weakness, with tables getting fairly grubby during peak hours.

Very friendly, good food and I loved the atmosphere. It took awhile to get our drinks, but it was worth the wait.

Stopped in for the first time the other day for lunch. Great vibe and very friendly staff. Food was great but a bit on the spendy side for what you get. I would definitely recommend Ritter's however, if you don't mind a paying a little more.
