Not your typical restaurant. Had the biscuits and gravy breakfast and didn't recognize it as such when it came out but it was terrific! Not overly salty and the eggs were scrambled so light and perfect. Very happy with our spur of the moment find. Definitely will recommend this place to others and would like to try their other establishments.

Great date night spot! Happy Hour is only in the bar area, not the dining room area. The cocktails here are fun and unique, you get your money's worth for sure. The fried chicken is a staple here and is definitely shareable since you get 1/2 of a chicken with 2 salted biscuits. The Nashville Hot Chicken is delicious but tiny, so if you are getting it for a meal make sure you get another dish or share a larger plate with it. Seating is cozy so you will get to know your neighbors. Staff is super nice and knowledgeable. Great restaurant in the heart of the city!

Bud & Marilyn's is an excellent lunch location ! Their menu has a choice of 2 salads and 2 entrees along with their signature chicken. There are also plenty of starters and shared dishes to choose from. I'm guessing that the entrees are rotated seasonally. I was initially conflicted between choosing the Cobb salad or the Branzino, but eventually settled on the former. All the ingredients in the Cobb salad were fresh and flavorful, and it was certainly a large enough portion to satisfy any appetite. On this particular day, there were plenty of seats and booths available for walk-ins.

I stumbled upon this place last night during my first time in Philly. And I struck gold! The fried chicken was out of this world. Even considering that I’m from the Deep South, some of the best I’ve ever had. Complimented with insanely delicious biscuits and zucchini pickles, it was quite the dish! I finished with a unique take on apple pie (cheddar in the crust?), and that was fantastic too. Everything about this place was amazing. In short, EAT HERE!!

Visited on a Friday around 5:30 - definitely be sure to make reservations. It was very busy and fairly loud. Decorations were sweet, and there was a nice vibe. Food was good and servings were large enough that my husband and I could split an appetizer and an entree. We got the tartare and their lasagna special. Both were quite good. I got the Philly club to drink - it tasted much more like grapefruit than raspberry, so be warned if you're not a fan. We split the apple cake with our friends, and it was more than enough for the four of us.
