Keg Cowboy is a great bar. The music is always good and I feel comfortable. The beer on tap is excellent (they have great taste). They stand out because the food is so good. The sandwiches are creative, made with excellent ingredients. They portions are hearty, but take half home and it's just as good tomorrow. The soup is amazing. Probably the best tomato basil, and if their mushroom goes up on Facebook, I am leaving the house.

They DO NOT have ice!!!!!!!! What restaurant doesn't have ICE????!!!!!! They serve wine in Ball canning jars!!!!???? Really???!!! They only have craft beer and cider. Don't know about the wine. Although we saw them pouring some in canning jars (ewww!!!!). When we asked about wine we were told that they were out and they had cider. Asked for ice water. Told they had no ice.......... What???!!!!????? The bartender brought out a brown "growler" filled with cool water for us to drink. I just think it's VERY strange that a restaurant with a kitchen that serves food doesn't have an ice maker!!!!!! I have owned restaurants. And worked in MANY bars and restaurants. I just find this VERY VERY strange!!!! And by not having at least one or two bottled beers more than half of the people (including me) that come in probably won't ever step foot in your door again. Craft beer is not the "end call be all" of beer!!!! The place looked like it needed some housekeeping as well. Kind of just dirty. Low lights DO NOT hide this fact!!!! I saw cob webs in more than one place!!!!! Don't know who the owner is but....... Saw the staff cleaning the kitchen, I would NEVER eat there!!!!!!

Great place, great atmosphere, and interesting spread of food choices. I have the Caprese Sammy and was in heaven. The Cheese Board was good also as an appetizer. The wait staff was in point and responsive. It was a Great time!

Food is really good but very pricey. Prices are not listed so when I paid 16$ for a cheese tray I was surprised. Looks like a typical bar but the food is better than typical bar food. Beers are expensive for the area but they have a decent selection. If the service was more friendly and attentive this place could really be awesome. I also noticed that some of the refrigerators and such seem to be broken and used for storage but I get it, it is expensive to buy new ones. Overall, I like this place. It is the only bar I know of in the area since I am new to Lexington so it is my go to for a drink after work. On a side note, the artwork on the walls is great. There is a Mona Lisa with Michael Jackson's face that I just love. It makes me laugh every time I see it because it just works...whoever did this painting is amazing.

This seems to be quite the dive bar when you walk in and it depends on the day whether you get rude and nasty service or pleasant service, BUT the food is STELLAR! It blows my mind how good the food is yet how poor the service is. It seems that they do not reinvest any of the earnings back into the bar as the ice machine is always down or just doesn't exist and the refridgeration unit behind the bar is now just a storage cabinet for glasses. But since it is so close to work, I am there frequently. I just hate how rude they treat me and how they act like I am annoying them by coming in. It is very odd. There is a print of the Mona Lisa with a Michael Jackson face that I have asked to purchase that is a must see. They will not sell it though. I say go for the good food but don't expect service with a smile. :)
