Amazingly flavorful food. Not your regular sitdown restaurant though and a bit pricey for the portion sizes. There are no waiters so it's like a Chipotle where you order up front, get your own silverware, and sit where you like. Music is very loud, too.

The food is great. The woman, I guess the owner, is rude. I tried to order something clearly on the menu and she said they didn't have it and that's what the letters beside the item meant. I'm sorry, I didn't know I was supposed to read your mind as to what those letters meant. Being really honest here and I struggled with even doing so, but I'm a white woman with a mixed daughter. I have to wonder if she took issue with that both times she has worked the counter when I've come in. She was cold and short with me but super friendly with everyone else who came in. I can't blame it on a bad day when it was only me, and I'm generally a very friendly person, that she was rude to. I hope I'm wrong on this, but I'll never know because I'll never be back. Treat me and my daughter bad once - shame on you, twice - shame on me. I won't put my kid through that again. And yes, my 10 year old daughter pointed out her behavior to me, though I had already noticed. Last thing, the music was blaringly loud to the point of being ridiculous and it was very hot in the dining area. I wish someone else would take over this place, because the food I've tried here is great.

Chicken and dressing and cabbage were tasty. But the cost didn't match the quantity. I expected more food. Plus the customer service is very lacking. Didn't know the special of the day. May go back or may not

Sure do miss your smiling faces, and great soul food. I'm in Indiana now but will come and visit you when I can. Been craving your special tomato sandwich. CONNIE
