Who ever thinks this is good food needs to get their taste buds checked. I'm from Louisiana and this place is no where near authentic. Cajun food is not difficult to cook if you actually care what you are serving. All the plates were chipped. The place is dirty as hell and cramped. They offer items with "crab meat" on the menu but it is actually imitation crab meat being used in the dishes. I would NOT order the raw oysters from this place unless you want food poisoning. The wait staff is rude as well so this place has no redeeming qualities. Take my advice and skip this dump.

I was introduced to Jazz when I was working at St. Mary's Hospital in 1998-99, which is now Covenant Lakeside Hospital. The crowds we're awesome the beer was always cold and food has always been amazing!!! I love this place! The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is amazing. It's been great getting to know the staff, although they work hard and stay busy they always make time to share a joke , story and conversate with you. I've met lots of great people and made great friends at Jazz! Jazz is #1 in my books

Imitated, but not duplicated...This place is far from authentic Louisiana cuisine. The fish is not even real catfish. It tastes like cod or Alaskan fish. The shrimp tasted horrible as well and tasted nothing like Louisiana fried shrimp; far from it! But I guess to the people of Lubbock, this is good Cajun/Creole cooking. Well, my friends....think again. It upsets me to see restaurants imitate Louisiana cuisine and front it to a public not familiar with Louisiana's culture and cooking. This may create a dislike for the many Cajun and Creole dishes when not prepared (seasoned) appropriately.

I love this restaurant! Every single item on the menu is amazing. It's great for lunch, afternoons and dinner. They also have bands play some evenings. Fun times, good food!

Great little place! I enjoyed the atmosphere, our waitress was wonderful, and the food was pretty darn Good! Loved the coleslaw! The only thing I didn't like were my fries, they were a bit cold and rubbery! The breading on the fried food was kind of bland, but I didn't mind cause it allowed me to taste my fish, shrimp, and oysters! Plus they have enough hot sauce and stuff on the table!
