I experienced The Plaid Turnip when MAP CDC had a meeting there. I was very impressed. It's on Main Street so parking can be a problem but the food was phenomenal. I had country fried steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. My portion was way more than I expected.I actually got two nice sized steaks. Everything was seasoned very well. The decor is very inviting as well. The prices may not set well with everyone but you get what you pay for and it is well worth it. I'm telling everyone I know about it. Awesome food!!!

Delightful place for lunch. We received attentive service. Food was delicious. Never had a pimento cheese grilled. It was awesome! Looking forward to coming back again.

Rated low because the first person I encountered here completely refused to acknowledge my presence and went out of her way to speak to someone else who just so happened to be with me. Even after that she still didn't acknowledge me just walked us over to a booth and went on her merry way. Our waiter was excellent and pleasant. The food was good and nice portions. Sadly I will never come back due to the lady behind the bar. A restaurant is only as good as their weakest link and she is very much this establishment's weakest link.

My wife and I have been coming here frequently for about two years now. Hands down, the best place to get legit southern comfort food made with quality ingredients. Always a friendly atmosphere and service has never been bad. They can get bogged down by big crowds, but that's to be expected just about anywhere. Pricing is great and the portions are huge!

The food is okay, the servers are nice but the parking sucks... its better for residents who live within walking distance rather then driving. Theirs is no real parking accept for across the street from the restaurant and good luck with that considering other surrounding business. Not really worth going if you have to drive their.
