Our first visit... fantastic food and owners were super nice and attentive! We had pulled pork and brisket with delicious mac and cheese, cold slaw, baked beans, and their extraordinary homemade yeast rolls. We live in Carolina, but will be back often! The five choices of sauces were fantastic as well.

The most tender, smoky, and flavorful brisket and pulled pork I've had in the entire Hampton roads area! The sauces in the table were equally delicious, and the bread is out of this world...so fresh and fragrant. They have a smoky Mac n cheese that was so good I had to take a container of it to-go... Three people, full meals, 2 beers, $28!!! Update: Love out if state now (Cincinnati) and do a lot of traveling as well... That being said, this is still time best bbq I've ever had!

Hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had! The pork, chicken and beef is always juicy and flavorful. The homemade rolls are fantastic and the house sauces are over the top! When in Suffolk this is a MUST go! If you walk away hungry it’s because you didn’t finish the huge portion they gave you. This is also a veteran owned and operated business which make its even better! Thank you for the great food and your service!

I really wanted to write an amazing review because a friend suggested this place and it's out of my way. The brisket was flavorful and tender, but way too fatty. It was not trimmed or cut correctly, instead I got a pound of square cut chunks filled with fat. In fact, it was about 1/2 fat. It definitely does not measure up to the brisket that I got from down the street at the plaid turnip or even mission bbq, which are both trimmed and sliced correctly. This was incredibly difficult to write as I would prefer to build up my fellow disabled veterans businesses, but it fell short today.

I was really excited to hear we had a new local BBQ joint just down the road from our house. The food is really good! The pulled pork is delicious, the baked beans are smoky sweet, and the hushpuppies are HUGE. My husband enjoys the brisket and ribs as well. My only complaint is about the Mac N Cheese...I haven't been able to pinpoint the problem, but every time we've eaten there, the macaroni is brown and mushy. They put pieces of bacon in it, which I have no problem with, but it seems like the macaroni itself is overcooked and it's just brown and mushy, which is weird and not how macaroni should be. And since Mac N Cheese is my favorite BBQ side, it's a bit disappointing. Definitely give this place a try! As long as you aren't a Mac N Cheese purist, you will love the food.
