Had intentions of going to Bombshells for lunch but decided to stop in to Gumbo Jeaux's instead. The guy who took my order was amazing and extremely helpful. The food was awesome. I will definitely recommend!

This was my first time here and it was exceptional. The people there were welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Most importantly the food was great tasting, of good portions and some unusual food ( in a good way) varieties. Furthermore, the food was served to me without a long wait. Update: I going back again today; for the second time in 24 hours.

Such a great place to eat. Everything I've had here is so good. I definitely recommend. They have the best fried shrimp in Houston.

Been into Jeauxs twice now. I thought the first time might have been luck, but I was wrong. First timein I had the seafood platter, cup of gumbo, and red beans and rice. The platter was well seasoned, the gumbo was full of flavor, and the beans were on point. The second time in a had the blackened pork chop plate, red beans, and a cup of gumbo. The pork chops were thin and TENDER. That's right, they were juicy and tender and full of flavor. They sat on top of probably some of the best dirty rice I have ever had. The beans mixed with that dirty rice, oh man, I stuffed myself. I would highly recommend Gumbo Jeauxs to anyone looking for the best creole cooking around. Plus the staff is great too. They are always smiling and don't have a problem holding downs conversation. Way to go Jeaux

I called to place the order and they told me they can only take 3 orders (as in entrees)over the phone. The gumbo barely had anything in it, No shrimp. I called to let them know, they said they only add shrimp if you ask for it. I also ordered crawfish etouffe and it only had 3 crawfish in there. Not satisfied at all.
