I ordered new laminate flooring for my kitchen, dining room and hallway, as part of remodeling my kitchen.
It took over 3 weeks for my flooring to get installed.
I made prior arrangements to have my old flooring removed. When the installers arrived, they complained about not knowing about the removal. The installers were not very professional. They reeked of smoke, and clothing looked dirty. They asked if I had tools that they can use, and if they could use my broom to clean up. They weren’t able to complete the job the same day. They left at 3:00 because they had stuff to do. They came back the next day, Sunday, to complete the job.
They broke some of the floor and base molding when removing it. They told me that my contractor can replace the missing moldings. The contractor is not responsible for their negligence and I now have no molding in certain areas.
Despite having the area measured by Art Vans, there wasn’t enough transition strip for the large entryway between my dining room and living room, and it had to be ordered. I have been waiting since the beginning of November for the transition strip to come in. After multiple phone calls to Art Van customer service, I’m still waiting.
When it comes time to replace the carpeting throughout my house, I will be going elsewhere.
