There are several front end, customer service associates at this store that need to be redeployed to areas of the store in which they do not interact with the public. My first interaction with "S" was in attempting to special order a toilet. Was directed to plumbing department where ordering process was not straightforward to say the least, but I left with a pending order. Was redirected to "front desk" to pay for order. Presented "S" with invoice was told we don't take payments here, doesn't know why I was sent to see her, you'll have to go through line. Stand in line, cashier has no clue what "S" was talking about and no idea how to process special order. Gets manager, manager requests I return to customer service desk to pay for order. "S" hides behind manager while I pay for order. Second interaction with customer service department, this time "J". Making returns spread across several receipts, present receipts to J along with items. "J" comes across a receipt where part of bar code is smudged, cannot scan receipt. Asks me "What happened to this receipt, I can't scan it, what is your invoice number?!" I have no clue what you are talking about, I just handed you a piece of paper that says I payed for these items and want to return some, can you look up what you need, do you need some other information to assist you? Huffs, puffs, generates duplicate receipt and proceeds to process returns snatching items, slamming items on desk, smacking gum, etc. I have had other, straightforward and efficient interactions with the service desk at this store. Not every associate behaves in this manner. This store needs to revisit especially with front end associates how to professionally handle a guests needs. @&# kissing, groveling, genuflecting, etc. is not necessary, just handle my request efficiently and with knowledge of your own procedures and work arounds. Please.

I ordered a dishwasher for my mom for a Tuesday delivery. They were supposed to call with a 2hr window Tuesday morning, nothing... My mom had to call at noon, they said it was on the truck, she said they could deliver it anytime except between 4-5 as she had an errand to run. End of the day and no contact no dishwasher. On Wednesday I call and it's getting loaded on the truck, supposedly we'll get a call. It's a "3rd" party delivery company and hard to work with they say, we'll I ordered from Lowes so they are responsible. I guess they are even worse than a cable company and if you order make sure you have several days off to just hang around the house and hope they show up. I also initially called, before ordering, to see if I could just pickup the new dishwasher and drop off the old one for the same $20 disposal fee they were charging me, nope, they cannot help their customers out and make them go through their 3rd party gauntlet.

LG fridge warning! Would not fit through standard 2'6" door! Old fridge went out just fine! The Lowes installers said the door stop moulding had to come off and they could not do it! Duh! So, I did it! Wonder what would have happened if I was not available! Duh!

ordered a new grill online, to be picked up in-store. I got there before they contacted me, but they were very accommodating. They went to the back and brought the new grill up. The employee helped me load it in the back of my pickup truck. I brought it home. Nicely done.

I have always enjoyed shopping at Lowes over Home Depot, but their current credit card policies are driving me away. I spend my time shopping their store to check out and be told I can not use my Samsung pay (works fine at Home Depot ), then I go back a different day, complete the previous process to then be told I can use my chip laden MC as a credit card only as a debit (works fine as a credit card at Home Depot)(I do not know my pin#). The third....and yesterday will be the last time, I went there again and spent 1.5 hrs finding the correct nuts and bolts to be now told at check out that I cant use my Virginia Credit Union card at all! The cashiers are all nice but absolutely no help, never call a manager to find a solution or a work around or just a suitable explanation would be acceptable. Disappointed to say the least. But on the bright side, I spent less $ at Home Depot all three time for the same selections I left behind at Lowes. I hope (but I know they wont) someone at Lowes reads this and takes action to upgrade their credit card checkout system. They are too big of a company to be this far behind the times.
