The UPS Store

0 stars, but that is not an option. I sent a package express on Weds afternoon. It had "FRAGILE" tape all over it. This cost me $154, the fastest option - to arrive Friday EOD (5pm, I think). It showed up on Tuesday, the box and contents *mangled*. They said they would refund my card, which did not happen. Weeks later they sent me a cheque for $32. What a joke. Do not send anything by UPS, much less anything important. I called back to complain about this, and after several more calls back and forth they say they will "cut me a cheque". I told them I was livid and so I got transferred once again and offered a shipping credit that covers a small fraction of the cost of the contents of my package. A friend of mine shipped Saturday service - it showed up the following week, "Saturday delivery" stickers removed. Livid.

If I could give no stars that would be my first choice. The WORST service!! The owner just makes up whatever rules he wants and basically refuses to do anything an actual UPS store should do.

I always dread going into this UPS location. The operator constantly tries to chisel me for prepared shipping materials such as UPS packets which are supposed to be no charge with prepaid labels. Today... same thing, I presented him with the UPS label , he went over to his store supply of padded envelopes(non UPS) and gave me one with the view of charging me. I advised him the shipping packet is supposed to be provided as the label was prepaid as detailed on the UPS instructions. He then went and got the flimsy plastic UPS bag, took the prepaid label and closed up the bag. When I pressed him he cited not knowing the label was a prepaid UPS, which I clearly advised him going in. Same thing every time. This UPS agent will always try and charge for materials, that are non UPS, from his own supply, anything for a few dollars. Each time I have pressed him he capitulates, offering the correct UPS packets at no charge. The operator of this location is a very poor representatvie for UPS and his practices are quite questionable. I am surprised UPS has not either taken steps to educate him about the correct procedures or taken back the franchise. Always a poor experience.

If I could give it no stars I would. The time is 5:17pm. I have a return item from an online purchase, pre labeled, pre packaged, pre-paid, ready to go. The shop is closed. Time on the door says 5:30pm closing. Odd how that happens, this is the worst ever UPS location I have ever used in the greater Victoria area. If you can go elsewhere, please do! This place/franchise does not deserve your time or business. Thanks for not being open during the posted time you said your open.

I cringe every time I get sent a package ups. This is the worst shipping company of all time. A HUGE hassle to deal with not to mention the MOST expensive. Last time I dealt with them the service was horrendous!
