Been dealing with Purolator for a bit over 10 years now. I run my business from home, and ship in a fair amount of tech products, so the Purolator lady knows me as soon as I walk in holding a slip in hand. I can't speak to how service oriented the drivers themselves are, only that I do always find them friendly and they're always fast-moving. But every team needs to reevaluate their practices at times and look for improvement.
So I'll say one thing here: there needs to be a mandate to ring the doorbell every time, in addition to knocking. This absolutely is not what happens consistently. It's not a big deal, and yet it is. I miss deliveries because my office is downstairs and while I would easily hear the doorbell, sometimes I don't hear the knock.
But generally speaking, especially as compared to many other delivery services I've also used to ship here, Purolator has been the best among them.
