Hayward lake is clean, sandy, and beautiful. It's very well maintained and has picnic areas and grassy areas as well as the sandy beach. There's a separate dog friendly beach about a 5 minute walk past the main beach. It's a bit smaller but has picnic areas as well as a sandy beach. Love coming here every summer.

Lovely free area that has a sandy beach front and a nice trail to walk. There is a dam that is open with an entrance fee, but do check out times they are open. The trail is lovely, with many berry bushes lining the sides.

Had a great time with my daughter at the lake beach. Parking was overflowing on a sunny Sunday afternoon, but it's a nice park and worth the walk down from the road. Looking forward to going again at a less busy time.

Love the lake, nice and clean. The beach is sandy. It has flush toilets. Be prepared to walk your stuff in if there's no more parking in the main lot. Overflow parking is about 10 mins walk over pebbly trail and parts have a slight incline.

Great off-leash dog beach. Nice day area. Good washrooms. BC Hydro does a great job of running this park. Check out Harry's Trail for an easy forest walk. Great for paddle boarding.
