Horrible services!!!

If I could I will give zero stars. They don't even deserve one. Economy Corporate should pay attention!!!! First of all the local rental car in Toronto (Mississauga) did not answer their shuttle pick up line for a long time. Even their customer service agent tried calling and could not get connected. As a result we had to Uber to the agency from the airport. Second, the car they gave us had a cracked windshield, but we did not noticed because it was nighttime when we picked up the car. Third, when we were renting the car, we had asked if we could get a credit or refund because we were planning to bring the car one day earlier and they said that they would, however when we returned the car they refused to give us either a refund or a credit. The manager was totally useless and rude and even picked a fight with my husband. We will never ever rent from Economy and will never recommend them. Totally disappointed!!! I have never received such poor customer service in my life. Flew into Toronto, never been before. On my reservation said to call number when arrived and shuttle will pick me up to go get car. Called the number and finally someone answered. I said I was here and needed the shuttle. Guy on phone said “take link train and shuttle will pick you up”. He then hung up right away. So I take what train to where?? I then called back, and again they FINALLY answered. I said I just called and wanted to know where I get the train and where do I get off? He said he is busy, get off at Viscount and to ask airport people if I can’t figure that out! He then again hung up! So with help from airport staff I found myself to Viscount. Then I waited and waited for the shuttle. Finally it shows up and I’m on my way to the rental car place. I get there, it’s dead, 3 guys behind the counter and no one helping me. I stand there again and wait. Finally one of them very rudely say, “YES”! I said I’m here to pick up. I then said I didn’t appreciate being hung up on and being rude to when I had no idea how to get to there facility. The guy didn’t even say anything but, “I need your credit card”. I did check other rental companies when I was hung up on and if it wasn’t $100.00 more I would have went with the other. When I took the car back, the price seems to have “changed” by $25 from when I booked it. I was so done standing in that dirty office that I didn’t care anymore, paid and left! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! AWFUL!

Pick up was smooth, no line, car was ready right away. Not the friendliest service, but certainly not rude at all. The car is affordable, in good condition, and fairly new. Hoping the rest of this rental goes as smoothly.

Terrible service. Cheating on price and what they promise. After booking Economy car rental I got conformation email with list of things what they offer like Unlimited mileage, free cancellation, price ... etc. When I went to Economy car rental place to pick the car it was totally different what they offer in the email conformation, Example they promised unlimited mileage(with official email conformation) but they offer 200 km mileage when you pick the car. Most of visiting customer to the shop is Travelers. When you travelling you don't have time to question or argue on what they promise even you know they are cheating on you. So Economy car rental see this is a weakens and they play around with it.

Care to save few (read "a lot of") dollars while renting a car in Toronto? "Economy Rent a Car" (Jet Car Rental) may come cheaper than other companies, but that's when you must stop and think a second! Why are they cheaper? Well, the answer is simple. They have very poor rating, their policies are not at all customer friendly, and customer satisfaction is as "LOW" as it can get. To be in the market with other players, they had to lower their rates. Now the most important, dangerous pitfall is their "service charges". How many of us actually take time to read the rental agreement when, after a long queue, you are at the counter and looking to get your car and hit the road?? Not many I believe. It looks like they have a $50 service charge for each ticket/charge, toll, or infraction. Many a time, we miss an exit and accidentally get on to Highway 407 or other toll roads, and the automated system sends the invoice to rental companies. Now assume the toll company charged $1 to rental company. Now comes the sad part. The rental company charge you $1 + $50 + taxes. If you are billed two $1 tolls, they charge you $2 + $100 + taxes!. I have been using Enterprise as well, and I must say they are far better than Economy. They do have admin charge" but its not as unbelievable as "$50". It is fair if the rental companies wish to collect a small fees as they are doing some extra work looking at the bills from toll companies and checking which account to debit from, etc. But a $50 service charge for a $1 toll?? My advise: Don't look for that few dollar savings. Avoid Economy Rental at any cost. Make a habit of reading customer reviews. I made a mistake, but you can stop yourself from making the same.
