Always fun, its nice place to stop after berry picking for a picnic lunch and a cool off. Three waterfalls are fun and I like to swim against the current in the lazy river.

Great place to camp. Overnight, weekly, monthly or seasonal. You can launch most boats at the boat launch here.

The old minot KOA had fantastic tenting sites with lots of privacy, it’s too bad it’s gone. The new one is hard to review because it is new. The shower facilities are brand new and fantastic and our site actually had some grass to put a tent on. Unfortunately, being new there aren’t many trees for shade or privacy. The sites beside us had long term/permanent trailers in them with lots of garbage on their sites. One was connected to our site’s water and two of the three power plugs. The playground was fun for my kids but there were many loose and missing bolts so I’m not sure how long it’ll last or how safe it’ll be. One of the big upsides is the campground is right on the edge of town so it’s easy to run for supplies or a bite to eat. Hopefully it’ll improve as it matures.

The Doughnut - Camp Amisk - Scouts Canada Camp Amisk is located just south of Winnipeg along the LaSalle River, opposite LaBarriere Park. This camp has bush and field campsites ideal for use by groups for evening, one-day or weekend camps. Outhouses are provided; groups must bring their own equipment. Take advantage of this camp to help put more "out" in your Scouting program. Camp Amisk is located about 3 miles south of the Perimeter Highway on Waverley Street. The camp is approximately 25 acres in size, and forms part of theLa Barriere Park system. The northern boundary of the camp is formed by the La Salle River, the southern boundary is formed by the Floodway dike.

Great camping area for an overnight stay. Well maintained grounds with roomy campsites (picnic table, fire pit, hook-ups) and reasonably clean, hot-showered bathrooms! The rates at time of writing were $9 unserviced, $20 full services. Great value and far enough from the highway so there isn't too much noise. Recommended!
