Crowsnest River RV Park
3704 18 Ave, Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, T0K 0M0, Canada
Very nice campground. Well maintained and the owners are on site all the time making sure you are happy! Terry took quite a bit of his own time to help us get perfectly situated with our RV on the site and was there with his chainsaw to take care of an unruly tree stump that was in the way. Can’t beat the service, security and welcome home feeling you get. Thanks again!

Visited the beach with our family. Great sand beach for the kids, no life guards on site. The price is a bit steep for a full family and I wish they would make some reasonable season passes for local residents.

This place is simply fantastic. Went for a picnic and a very nice hike with my lovely wife.
Camp Mackinicholea
Long Island Lake, Range Road 260A, Alberta, T0G 1H0, Canada
I have attended and volunteered with camp mackinicholea for the better part of 15 years. My closest friends were made here, friends I've had for hose 15 years. It's a magical place were you can be silly and sing songs all day long. There's always games to be played and a good time to be had. The lake is georgous and clean for daily swimming. This camp is suited for anyone really. The staff are hands on and makes it a priority to keep the kids entertained and safe.

No cell service here. You have to drive about 35 minutes east towards Longview to get reception. Dirt road is only 6 kms from the turn off from the tar road and gravel road is in good condition. Its about 40 kms from the turn off from Long view. Bathrooms are dirty, the floor has not been swept in months. Most sites are very private with a lot of shade.

This place is a hidden gem for kids . All the bottles that are donated go towards the funding of money mountain. The owners bury money in the sand pile every weekend and the kids dig it out and spend it in their store genius . Has good play structures for the kids and the little red deer river flows by the campground property which you can go floating down on a hot day.

Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, T0K 0M0, Canada
Island Lake is a scenice campground area just off Highway 3 near the BC Border. It's a good campground for those looking for a quick and easy camping spot just off the highway. There's a day use area at the west end, great place to go for a family day trip. There's a path around the lake that's a great walk. On the down side, the CPR tracks run along the north side of the campground, and it can be a little breezy at times. :)

What a great campground. Probably one of the nicest lakes close to Edmonton. Great for the family.
