Our family tent-camped at Rus-ton July 13-15. We were shocked/disappointed that after driving 3 hours, we were essentially camping in a grassy parking lot. The visitor camping sites are all jammed together side by side with not even a tree or a hedge to offer any privacy from neighbouring sites. I have never seen anything like it. Then, to the front of our site our view was a sea of cars. There was nothing scenic or natural about it. I think this is something that should be communicated with visitors before they book. We wouldn't return for this reason. On a positive note, our kids had tonnes of kids to play with and the playgrounds and pool facilities were great. The washrooms/showers were kept very clean.

Olympia Sports Camp

Olympia Sports Camp

This camp experience is unrivalled. Strangers become life long friends and staff/coaches aim to teach more than just sports. At Olympia, you learn how to overcome challenges and become the best version of yourself by feeling 100% safe and comfortable to be yourself. Would 10/10 recommend for any student, athlete, teenager or someone looking for a fun, new opportunity.

Ashton Park Estates

Ashton Park Estates

This is now called Ashton Park Estates, and the new name is fitting - the lot sizes are estate-like compared to the other 3 parks where we have had mobile homes. The "estates" are a peaceful, friendly place to spend your vacation, or your whole summer. Nicely treed, and beautifully manicured, it seems that everyone is proud of their site - no messy spots like we have seen in the other parks. The park committee is active, organizing events throughout the summer, and everyone we have met to date is very friendly. I haven't seen a better park in all of Ontario.

What a great park! The park is extensive, well forested and set along the eastern shore of Lake Huron. The campsites are attractive, large, private, and with many trees and bushes between the sites. I was in the "Dunes" area which is close to the beach. This park is one of the most popular in Ontario and it's difficult to get a weekend site without reserving ahead. I enjoyed the quiet, peaceful environment and was impressed by the cleanliness as well as by the friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend it!

Duttona Trailer Park

Duttona Trailer Park

7728 Coyne Rd, Dutton, Ontario, N0L 1J0, Canada
I would not recommend camping at Duttona Family Campground - changes in the past 2 years with new ownership has been heart wrenching - The utter disrespect for long term campers was so disheartening to watch and experience - Campers who were there for 30, 40 + years were evicted or left the park because their happy camper spot was not happy anymore. Do not get caught laughing after 10 pm while sitting around the fire – too loud and noisy. On some lots the sewage is seeping up into the grass – campers (with children) had to wear rubber boots because they were walking in feces. Some had issues getting water to their trailer, 3 hoses hooked together and spanned over 3 lots and now they have water – told by owners that their only obligation was to make sure the spigot was onsite. Hydro is very outdated – advertise 30-amp service, please check the box before you plug in. No amenities except a pool, old swings, and old monkey bars at the park. Not a "Family" campground.
