Camp

Had a BLAST here for Fireside 2017. Met a ton of bright minds from the tech industry. No cell phones made socializing and taking a break from the office a lot easier. The facilities were awesome. A ton of sports including hockey, basketball, baseball, two boats for water sports, diving boards, too many to list.

We paddled [about 30 minutes] in to our wonderful camping site in late June, 2018. Canoes can be rented. The site was very private, roomy, with a well-built fire-pit and many huge white pine trees. Staff were friendly, helpful and sold huge $5 bags of firewood. The firewood requires splitting so be sure to pack in a small splitting maul [Like a Fiskars X11 - Google it.] Near the camp office are hot showers, flush toilets and tested drinking water -- all surprise bonuses for me. We saw loons and heard them at night, watched a water snake prowl around in front of our site [completely harmless if not provoked], heard a coyote, and heard an osprey hunting over water at our site. Lake water was warm for swimming and our site had a sandy beach. The lake is big enough to spend hours exploring by canoe and it's ridiculously close to Kingston and the 401. This is an UNKNOWN GEM.

Great place to be. Came here in the winter and was welcomed by friendly staff, big rooms and warm beds. Great place for retreats and meetings with lots of shared spaces to make friends, but also lots of activities ad space to be alone. Sadly, I didn't get to see how big or clear the lake was, although the horses were pretty big and clearly well trained.

Camping here for a week is really fun

We were “banned” from the park because there were chips on the ground in our cabin, when offering to vacuum we were yelled at and told to leave. We cleaned up as much as we could but apparently if it isn’t spotless then it isn’t good enough (all we left were crums that would take 2 seconds to sweep up). Vicky the manager was extremely unprofessional and impolite, would not recommend this site strictly due to the poor management.

Camp is something that has been in my life for the past 4 years... I can honestly say that this is my home away from home.

My years at Echo Lake Camp were the single most life-changing experiences in my life. Years later, I still regularly look back at my experiences and am so thankful. Many of my most meaningful and enduring relationships started at Echo Lake. We still support Echo Lake and always will, because I can't think of anything more worthwhile that you could do for your kids. BTW, camp starts at age 14.

Amazing campground with a lot of activities for kids. Super friendly service. Very pleased and we will definitely be returning next year.

Hidden and very friendly. Remember your toiletries and other decent camping equipment. The beach is nice and the rapids perfect for beginner fun at the bottom.
